Location:  This position is located in the Division of Technology Services at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Salary:  Starting salary is between $54,331 to $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.  A six-month probationary period is required.  The pay schedule/range is 07-02.  This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.

Job Duties:  Position has the overall responsibility for the management of all University owned desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones and other mobile computing devices located in offices, labs, and public spaces throughout the university. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, image creation and deployment, endpoint security, patch management, and application packaging and deployment. The Endpoint Management Lead will also have a prominent role in the exploration and development of a virtual workstation environment.  This role offers technical leadership and services to our customers with a focus on providing innovative solutions, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating a reliable infrastructure that demonstrates value to the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the university.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Position requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of endpoint systems and standards including policies, procedures, endpoint administration practices and protocols and knowledge of emerging endpoint deployment and management technologies.  Ability to develop scripts and write programs using tools such as PowerShell and InstallShield.  Experience with automated patching, software deployment and software packaging is required.  Candidates should have in depth knowledge of Macintosh and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, file and print services, account provisioning, policies, best practices and multiple workstation clients.  Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) required.   Must be able to function as a team member and leader; develop project schedules, including deliverables, tasks, times estimates, and critical path; be able to work and communicate with users at all levels of computer knowledge; and have excellent people skills and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.  Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, MIS, project management or equivalent or commensurate training and work experience required.  Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Desktop Infrastructure (MCSE) or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) preferred.  Five or more years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policies, Outlook, Power Shell and VMware preferred.
