Location:  This position is located in the Division of Technology Services at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Salary:  Starting salary is between $54,331 to $83,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits.  A six-month probationary period is required.  The pay schedule/range is 07-02.  This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.

Job Duties:  This position oversees the daily operations and long term planning of reliable, high-performance, secure, and scalable network services to the UW-River Falls campus faculty, staff, and students. More specifically, this position is responsible for estimating, planning, writing requirements, design, set-up, installation, configuration, and administration of Windows servers and associated campus wide network resources including file and print sharing, web services, database applications, Outlook for electronic mail, and remote access.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
:  This is a highly technical position requiring in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, server systems, and windows workstation clients. Expertise in a wide range of network technologies and an ability to provide the leadership to the server and storage team to implement new technologies with other support personnel is required.  This position requires in-depth knowledge of network physical and logical standards and protocols, network administration, network planning, and communication systems standards and practices. It also requires a solid knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Outlook/Exchange, VMware and NetApp SAN.  The position requires technical skills commensurate with advanced senior (specialist) level planning, installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of networks.
