The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a member of the University of Wisconsin System, is located 30 miles from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul in scenic west central Wisconsin.  Year round arts, cultural and recreational events are easily accessible.  UW-RF's 6,700 undergraduate and graduate students pursue degrees in four colleges:  Arts and Sciences; Education and Professional Studies; Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science; and Business and Economics. The Position:

Full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics. The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. in Economics (ABD with confirmed completion date prior to start of employment will be considered) and will be expected to: teach intermediate microeconomics at undergraduate level and managerial economics at both undergraduate and MBA levels, develop curriculum and assessment, maintain an active research agenda in economics, advise upper-level Economics majors, and provide services to both the university and the profession. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in writing and submitting grant requests.

  • Education: Doctorate in Economics from an accredited institution (ABD with confirmed completion date prior to start of employment will be considered).  
  • Teaching experience: Evidence of teaching effectiveness (most recent student evaluations and peer observations) 
  • Research: Demonstrate a commitment to scholarly activities that results in peer-reviewed publications 
  • Diversity Statement: Demonstrate awareness and appreciation of diverse student populations and ability to contribute to the University's commitment to enhancing student awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.
