Our GSIs are offered in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) Student Affairs Administration (SAA) graduate program. As a GSI you will be employed part-time in a UWRF department while taking courses through a blended (online and face-to-face) graduate program.  Our GSI positions offer professional development and training, hands-on professional experience, and mentoring with the opportunity to be part of a collaborative and close-knit campus community. Through campus committees and curriculum-related assignments, GSIs also have the opportunity to interact and experience work in departments beyond their GSI position. The internship and graduate coursework all take place on our campus in River Falls.

"My GSI position has given me many opportunities for hands-on and real-life experiences. Working with first-generation college students has really opened my eyes to care and help guide them to continue to finish their degrees."

"I 100% believe that this GSI is providing me with hands-on / real-life professional experiences. I am able to work directly with students and be a supervisor to them. I am their go to for issues, conflicts, etc. I do not feel like I am treated like a graduate student at all. I feel like I am a part of the professional team."
