Student Application Process

rice terrace1. There is individual university autonomy in the student selection process for students who do not meet the published guidelines.

2. Students must reside at the International Student Residence Hall and, therefore, will not be accepted in to the ExC program on a "tuition only" basis.

3. If a student has been suspended from living in campus housing, they will not be allowed to participate in the ExC program.

Is the ExC program right for you?

Peruse this website for additional information about the ExC program and refer to the Campus Contact List to contact the Education Abroad Coordinator at the campus where you plan to apply. The Education Abroad Coordinator can help you determine if the ExC program is right for you.

The Office of International Education/Programs will notify you when the ExC student orientation will be held on your campus before your departure. It is very important that you attend this session. It will give you an opportunity to meet fellow ExC participants and find out more specific information about the program (i.e., travel information, the schedule for your session, what you need to bring with you, etc.). Each of the campus contact sites has a collection of materials related to the ExC program and travel abroad that you should examine at your convenience. Other things to stay on top of during this time are Financial Aid, if it applies to you, and applying for your passport if you do not already have one. Also, Wisconsin residents may be eligible for an education abroad grant.
