Details: This course will prepare educators to understand the mathematical modeling cycle and be able to implement modeling based problems in their classroom. It will provide them an opportunity to use different areas of mathematics to solve real-world problems by asking questions, collecting information or data, creating a model, revising the model and presenting an answer. Content and pedagogy will be balanced. The approach is designed for teachers with an emphasis on individual and small group tasks, as well as the use of technology.
