| Details: The Apprentice Teaching Seminar provides a supportive environment for students, now apprentice teachers; to discuss and analyze the challenges and adventures they are experiencing in the schools. Apprentice teachers learn about legal and logistical issues in teaching, become familiar with how the various components of a high school or middle school are organized, translate educational theory into practice, explore more issues around diversity and equity, and prepare for the edTPA (teacher performance assessment). Apprentice teachers must submit the edTPA in late spring to document their completion of the Wisconsin Certification standards for licensure. Prerequisites: UTCH 707. (Sp) |
