Teacher Candidate Professional Development Day

When: September 28 from 7:45 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Registration: 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. in the Kinnickinnic Theater (3rd Floor), University Center
Location for Sessions: UWRF University Center

About the Event

The Teacher Candidate Professional Development Day is provided once each semester for education majors who are student teaching that semester. The College of Education and Professional Studies requires student teacher attendance at the event. 

Event Features:

  • Mock interviews with hiring administrators.
  • Visit help stations to receive assistance with resumes, cover letters.
  • Teachers on Call and graduate school information.
  • Guest school administrators speak on topics relevant to new teachers in our "Panel of Experts."

Mock Interview Information

Mock interviews are conducted by hiring principals and administrators from area school districts.

  • Come dressed professionally to interview
  • Multiple paper copies of your resume (at least 3 copies)

NOTE: If you did not sign up for a mock interview at the first teacher candidate meeting, and you would like to sign-up, please call Career Services at 715-425-3572 or stop into 211 Hagestad Hall prior to the day of the Teacher Candidate Professional Development Day to be added to the schedule, if openings are available.
