Partner with Career Services

Career Services desires to partner with departments and offices on-campus to provide the highest quality services to UW-River Falls students. You will find information on how to partner with our office, post jobs and internships, and resources you can use to better assist students.

Presentations to Classes and Student Organizations

Career Services staff members present in more than 100 classrooms each year on a variety of topics.  We are happy to come to your class to present on a variety of career topics, or provide a short introduction on our services and resources. We ask you to provide as much notice as possible for presentations to increase the likelihood of booking your first-choice date, but minimally ask for three-weeks advanced notice. To proceed with scheduling your class presentation, please complete the online presentation request form. Please contact our office at 715-425-3572 with additional questions.

Academic Internships
Student Career Assistance

The faculty and staff at UW-River Falls are important partners in helping students and alumni find careers, internships and meaningful futures. Extensive career resources are available on the Career Services website. Additionally, Career Services staff members are available to meet one-on-one with students to discuss:

  • Career Assessments
  • Choosing or changing their major
  • Researching majors and careers
  • Resumes & cover letters
  • Interview preparation
  • Mock Interviews
  • LinkedIn profile development
  • Job & internship searching
  • Graduate school applications

Although not every UW-River Falls major is covered, What Can I do with this Major? can be a great resource to help students make major and career decisions.

Publicize Jobs & Internships for Your Students

Hire-a-Falcon is our campus-wide electronic job posting system for full and part-time jobs, internships, on-campus employment, and volunteer opportunities. Career Services would encourage you to post your department's student worker positions as well as jobs and internships sent to you by employers. If you would like an admin account, please contact Career Services.

Faculty Contact Preferences for Employer Inquiries

Employers frequently contact our office with job and internship postings as well as request opportunities to meet with faculty, students, and student organizations. To appropriately direct employers, we ask that you complete the faculty contact preferences survey. This will allow Career Services to appropriately direct employers and organizations to your department.

Click here to complete the Faculty Contact Preferences Survey, which will only take 1-2 minutes to complete. If you have questions, please contact Melissa Wilson at or 715-425-3572.
