Textbooks

Students can expect to spend approximately $800-$1,000 on textbooks throughout the program. Prices vary depending on preference for hard copies of textbooks or electronic copies. Some students rent their books, but purchase those that are used in multiple courses.

Where do students purchase or rent their books?
  • Students tend to use Amazon and Chegg, however these are not the only places. You can also check out textbooks.com, Campus Book Rentals, Cengage, ecampus, etc. You may choose the vendor that works best for you.
When do students purchase or rent their textbooks?
  • Students should plan to purchase or rent their textbooks prior to the first planned course meeting. 
How do I know what books I will need?
  • Professors will email students a list of required textbooks at least one week prior to courses starting. 
Which books should I buy or rent?
  • This is ultimately up to the individual student. Required textbooks are chosen with care and the idea that they will serve as professional resources beyond graduation.
 
Below is an estimate of what students can expect to pay for purchasing books from various companies.

Amazon:
  • Hard Copy: $850
  • Electronic Copy: $550
Ecampus:
  • Hard Copy: $1,000
  • Electronic Copy: $650
Chegg:
  • Hard Copy: $1,000
  • Electronic Copy: N/A

*Renting textbooks tends to be cheaper, but it is hard to predict estimates.
