UWRF's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) offers superb academic programs, an English Language Transition Program, award winning faculty and staff and an active Dean's Office team working together for you. Their goal echoes the primary goal of a Liberal Arts education—to educate the complete person on:

  • citizenship and leadership,
  • a productive life and
  • the love of learning.

Teacher Certification

The College of Arts and Sciences coordinates with the Teacher Education Program (College of Education and Professional Studies) to offer teacher certification in numerous disciplines—art, English, modern language, music, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, history, broad field social studies and broad field science.

Pre-Professional Programs

UWRF's CAS lends critical support to UWRF Pre-Professional Programs in the following areas—Pre-Engineering, Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Veterinary Medicine—and is also a key player in UWRF's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Program.
