WI Distinguished Agriculturalist Award

This award was established by the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) in 1970 to recognize individuals in the agricultural or environmental/natural resources fields who have provided outstanding leadership, service and other contributions to the greater community. Recipients are recognized and presented with the award at the CAFES Scholarship and Awards Event held annually in April. The Dean makes the final selection of the award recipient based on recommendations from the College Faculty Promotions and Awards Committee. Nominations are welcome from faculty, staff and students of the UW-River Falls community, alumni, and friends and supporters of the College. The nomination form addresses the following criteria established for the award:

• Leadership positions and activities related to agriculture and/or environment/natural resources.
• Contributions to and association with the UWRF College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.
• Statewide, national and international activities and accomplishments
• Accomplishments and activities that extend beyond the individual's normal employment

This is not an award for recognizing contributions to an individual department or program within the College, but rather for contributions to the greater agricultural and natural resource community. View a list of the past recipients.
