The University of Wisconsin-River Falls, located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley, is only 30 miles east of Minneapolis-St Paul. You and your family can visit campus by signing up for one of our College Visit Days or scheduling a small group visit.
Our faculty are devoted to excellence in undergraduate education. Many faculty members have been honored with outside recognition of their teaching expertise. They focus on hands-on, real-world experiences that augment classroom learning.
You bet! We have programs to Mexico, Scotland, France and many other places. Check out our Global Connections page. There are also opportunities that are specific to a CAFES program, such as the India Trip, or opportunities that can be tailored to an individual major, such as this international horticulture internship.
Depending on what major or program of study you enter into, there are many facilities available for your use, including two laboratory farms, dairy and meat processing plants, fruit and vegetable processing lab, a greenhouse and more. All facilities are quite well equipped, but we are always working to improve. Currently, there are renovations planned for the dairy plant and the two laboratory farms.
As a CAFES student, your career outlook looks great! Learn about where our graduates are working by visiting the alumni link on each program page.
