In this Centennial Year, we invited students to share a photo that best represented CAFES or demonstrated what CAFES meant to them.

Looking Back but Moving Forward

I chose this photo to represent CAFES for one because it represents agriculture being a production animal, which many of the programs are involved with. This photo also represents us students, as we may be looking back on our pasts, but we are moving forward into our futures through this college and not letting anything stop us from reaching our goals.

I chose this photo to represent CAFES because it shows the little things that are taken for granted from the outside population, that a majority of students are going to school for. We work hard as CAFES student to grow, amek, and produce things needed for people to survive. It's nice to appreciate the little things that take years to learn about, grow, and sell to consumers who do not always appreciate those things.

Service Learning

I chose this photo because my education in CAFES is preparing me to go further with my dreams than I had expected. This is a photo from the 2013 Destination service-learning trip to Moab, Utah. My friends and I who have taken classes within CAFES were especially prepared to share knowledge of plants, restoration, wildlife, wildfire, and then environment that enriched our experience even more.
