Bowls for Hope 2010

Bowls for Hope 2010 was held on March 24 in the UW-River Falls University Center.

The inaugural event raised $5,000 in donations for the local charity, Our Neighbors' Place, and drew more than 200 attendees. Founded in 2009, the mission of Our Neighbors' Place is to provide shelter and support services to families and individuals of Pierce and St. Croix Counties to help people move toward independence and self-sufficiency.

Live entertainment at the event was provided by The Kinni Song Sisters and Chris Silver and Tom Bentz Acoustic Duo.

Attendees enjoyed samples of soup donated by local restaurants as well as receiving a donated hand-made bowl from the ceramic and pottery classes at UWRF, RFHS, RFMS, and local artists.
