Will Ruemmele

Why did you choose to attend UWRF?
It was near home and was one of the only 13 accredited journalism departments in the United States.

What was your most memorable UWRF experience?
Broadcasting conference, champion football campaigns in 1984, 85, and 86, hockey conference championship campaigns in 1983-1986.

What was your favorite course at UWRF? Why?
Investigative Reporting was taught by Tony Viquieri, who worked as a lead reporter at that time. He gave hands-on insight on how to get the real story, make it concise and get the message out quickly.

How did your degree prepare you for your current profession?
As a realtor for 13 years, and now as a lender for the past 16 years, I have integrated both majors into helping borrowers find the right loan product.

What advice do you have for prospective students who are considering UWRF?
Get involved. UWRF is small enough to know everyone you need to know, and big enough to prepare you for an unlimited amount of success after graduation.
