Campus Chops Sale

The UWRF Meat Animal Evaluation Team provides an annual Campus Chops Sale each spring. The proceeds of the sale go to support travel for the team to the National Meat Animal Evaluation Contest.

The pork in the sale is from pigs raised at the UWRF Mann Valley Farm. The meat is processed at the UWRF Meat Lab. Processed products for sale include bacon, smoked ham and our famous brats. We offer two different packages to meet your needs. Volume discounts may be available upon request.

Pork Bundle - $75

  • 2 packages of bacon
  • 1 small ham
  • 6 chops
  • 1-2 lb pork roast
  • 4 packages of UWRF brats

Pork Box - $130

Includes at least 35 pounds of pork. Below are minimum quantities.

  • 2 packages of bacon
  • 2 small hams
  • 1 package spare ribs
  • 12 chops
  • 2 blade steaks
  • 1 pork roast
  • 4 packages of UWRF brats

Meat Animal Evaluation Team

The UWRF Meat Animal Evaluation Team is a CAFES judging team that travels to two contests in the spring. The national contest is typically held in April at either Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, or Texas Tech University. This three-day contest challenges students to evaluate beef cattle, sheep and swine in the areas of live market, breeding and meat evaluation. The team also competes in a communication contest.
