The purpose of the Wisconsin Sociological Association (WSA) is to:

• stimulate discussion of sociological issues
• improve the instruction of sociology at all levels of the educational system
• encourage the development and funding of sociological research
• encourage cooperative relations among those enganged in the scientific study of society
