Our Mission With courses addressing gender issues in science, the law, literature, film, health, history, politics, psychology and sociology, the minor in Women’s Studies equips women and men with the critical tools for rigorous intellectual inquiry into the issues of feminism. It also promotes a sense of community among students, staff and faculty, and the ability to work toward the goal of a just and equitable society. Purpose of Women's Studies Minor The minor consists of a core unit and elective courses in many disciplines for a total of 23 minimum credit hours.
