of WEJ at UWRF Ruth Wood Ruth Wood is Professor of
English at UW-River Falls, current editor of WEJ, and a scholar of literature, literary theory, and
English Education. Active in CEE
as well as in WCTELA, Ruth has taught and supervised the student teaching of
many graduates of UW-RF. Since 2004, Dr. Wood has been assisted by Dr.
David Beard. Nicholas Karolides Nick Karolides is Professor of English at UW-River Falls. He is also editor and author of several books about censorship and about reader-response theory:. q

English teachers to Reader-Response theory through his work in the Education
program at UWRF and through his many publications. Francis Chisholm The first editor of WEJ, Dr. Chisholm was nationally recognized for his work in Semantics. He was present at the formative meetings of the CCC, arguing persuasively for the place of semantics in what became the Communications movement (integrating the teaching of oral and written communication in first-year courses at colleges and universities).
