STUDENT AFFAIRS

Student Services and Programs provides student facilities, programs and services that strive to compliment the academic experience and engage students in campus and community leadership. Student Services and Programs are comprised of Residence Life, Dining Services, University Bookstore, Hunt/Knowles Athletic and Intramurals Complex, Conference Services, Student Leadership Development, Student Involvement, Student Life Programming, Banking Services, Vending Services, Student Services Information Technology, Student Center, Campus ID Office, C.H.I.L.D. Care Center, and Auxiliary Facilities operations.

UWRF students are characterized as industrious, bright, hard working, and involved. The division of student services and programs at UW-River Falls provides a full-service, diverse, and well-utilized array of activities, programs, and services for students. Forty professional staff and 300 student staff manage all aspects of the University’s extracurricular and student life program. Student Development includes residential living, student government, Greek life and more than 130 student organizations, and recreational and intramural sports.

UW-River Falls is considered a “residential campus.” More than 40 percent of the undergraduate student population lives on campus in one of our 10 residence halls, the highest percentage in the University of Wisconsin System. In 2005, the University opened a new 240-bed, $10 million, suite-style residence hall for junior and senior students. Also in 2007, the University opened a new $34 million student center located in the heart of the campus overlooking the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River. This environmentally sensitive building is one of the most state-of-the-art campus centers in the Upper Midwest .
