Waste & Recycling

From computer paper, pizza boxes, and waste food at the UC, to aluminum cans and plastic bottles, to old office furniture and demolished buildings, to unused pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals from labs and production lines, waste and recycling is a “huge” challenge for the campus and regional communities.  Not only must there be smooth and convenient processes by which we “close the loops” on these wastes for recycling, reuse, and reduction, but it also depends on each of us in our personal, professional, and civic life to make the right choices in getting them into the appropriate “waste stream.”  We hope that you will do your part for all the right reasons, but that you will also help the campus and/or your community pursue a 100% waste reduction and recycling program through the informational resources provided below.

As always, your constructive critiques and suggestions for refinement of this portion and the rest of the site are welcome.
