Serving Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota.

Walk On is a place where, through the bonding of horse, rider, and volunteers, the individual will enhance
their mind, body, and spirit.

The staff works closely with the medical community to better serve the riders and to ensure a safe and
healthy riding program.

Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs, Inc. is a 501c 3 nonprofit organization and is overseen by a board
of directors.

Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs are held at the Double K Acres Equestrian and Therapeutic Riding
Center located in the beautiful Kinnickinnic River Valley northeast of River Falls Wisconsin.

The program is under the direction of a NARHA Registered Certified Instructor and follows the guidelines
of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association. Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs,
Inc. and Double K Acres Equestrian and Therapeutic Riding Center are members of the North American
Riding For the Handicapped Association.
Volunteers are the key component of the Walk On Therapeutic Riding Program. Simply put, without these individuals Walk On Therapeutic Riding Program would not exist.

Volunteers do not need to have a horse related background or working with people with disabilities. As a volunteer you will need to attend an orientation session, document your time and keep the volunteer coordinator informed of your availability.

IFRM LogoFirefighters helping Firefighters

http://www.ifrm2007.com/Home

How it all began:
In May of 2007 Ron Gruening and Mark Allen returned from a short-term mission in Chisinau, Moldova. While they were there they came across a fire station tucked away in a neighborhood. They asked to look around, it was like walking into a 1950’s fire station. We could see they were lacking a lot of critical firefighting equipment. The vehicles were early 1960’s vintage. Their turnout gear consisted of old rubber raincoats, there weren’t enough helmets for each firefighter, and they shared five air packs between eighty-five firefighters. Our five minute conversation turned into a two and a half hour visit. It was pleasant, and they welcomed us warmly with Moldovan hospitality.

Our response was to:

Establish the "International Fire Relief Mission" The IFRM is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit that operates as a NGO. This program is humanitarian, but also provides necessary demonstrations to support the equipment donated but to grow the safety demands in those departments. We hope to serve those less fortunate around the world.
