  News and Notes from the May 8, 2008 SPS meeting



  • 
We had almost NO leftovers from the very successful picnic
held yesterday.  Between 60 and 70 attended?

    • 

  • 
Successful public observing session last night after the
picnic - early folks even got to see Mercury!

    • 

  • 
Annual Report is due.  The Officers should get together
with Dr. B. to write up and finalize the year's report.

    • 

  • 
Montessori visit?  Will we go?  Possibly Tuesday or
Thursday during finals? (After the meeting it was decided
to try for Tuesday.)

  • 
No demo today, but a very interesting talk by Luke Titus
about "Mathless Black Holes".
