Goalie Stephen Ritter (So., Tenafly, N.J.) helped lead the Falcons to two wins against ranked opponents last weekend at Hunt Arena. The Falcons beat No. 12 ranked UW-Stevens Point, 4-3, on Friday and came back with a win over No. 14 ranked UW-Eau Claire, 2-1, on Saturday. In Friday’s win, Ritter made 29 saves and allowed one power-play goal. In Saturday’s win he stopped 41 of 42 shots to get the win. Ritter, 6-4, 205 pounds, made 16-first period and 18-second period saves in the game. UWEC scored its only goal in the third period while on the power play. Ritter is now 9-6-1 with a 2.61 goals against average and a .922 save percentage this year. He has had two shutouts.

Forward Derek Hansberry (Sr., Arvada, Col.) helped the Falcons to their seventh win in their last eight games with two big games last week. In the team's 3-0 win at Concordia-Moorhead on Wednesday, Hansberry scored twice. He scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at 6:21 of the first period. He scored the team's second goal of the game at 7:09 of the third period. In the team's 2-1 overtime win over St. John's on Friday, he picked up an assist on the overtime game-winning goal. This year he is second on the team with 10 goals and 15 points. He has scored five power-play goals and two game-winners.

Goalie Stephen Ritter (So., Tenafly, N.J.) helped lead the Falcons to two wins last week and allowed only one goal in the process. In the team’s 4-1 win over Bethel, Ritter, 6-4, 205 pounds, stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced. He came back on Saturday and picked up his first shutout of the year, 3-0, with a 39-save performance against Augsburg at Hunt Arena. In the two games he faced 73 shots and finished with a .986 saves percentage. This year Ritter has a 5-3-1 record with a 2.82 goals against average and a .911 saves percentage.
