Offense
Halfback Greg Klingelhutz (Fr., Chanhassen, Minn. Holy Family HS) had his best day as a Falcon in the team’s last second loss to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday at Ramer Field. Klingelhutz, 5-9, 176 pounds, led all rushers with 31 carries for 141 yards. He scored one touchdown on a run of 21 yards in the second quarter. He had a long run of 25 yards and averaged 4.5 yards per attempt. He also caught three passes for 34 yards with a long of 17. He finished the game with 175 all-purpose yards. Klingelhutz finished the year with 101 carries and 439 yards. He scored three times and averaged 4.3 yards per carry. He caught eight passes for 78 yards with a long of 22.

Defense
Free safety Ben Arata (Jr., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) had another great game for the Falcons in the tam’s last second loss to UW-Oshkosh on Saturday at Ramer Field. Arata, 5-9, 176 pounds, had three solo and seven total tackles. He led the Falcons with two passes broken up and he had an interception. With Oshkosh at the UWRF 31, Arata intercepted a Titan pass at the UWRF one-yard line to stop the drive. Arata tied for the team lead with 66 tackles. He led the Falcons with four interceptions and broke up four passes. He had one tackle for loss and he recovered a fumble.

Special Teams
Nick Vignalo (Fr., Roseville, Minn.)
returned kick offs for the first time on Saturday in the team’s last second loss to UW-Oshkosh at Ramer Field. Vignalo, 5-10, 175 pounds, returned one kick off for 44 yards. The return opened the second half and gave the Falcons a first down at the UWO 33 yard line.

Nov. 10, 2008

Offense
Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (So., Whitewater, Wis.) had another outstanding day for the Falcon offense in the team’s loss at La Crosse on Saturday. Zweifel, 6-1, 185 pounds, led all players with 12 catches for 134 yards. He had a long reception of 15 yards. Eight of his receptions went for a first down. This year Zweifel leads UWRF with 75 catches for 925 yards and four touchdowns.

Special Teams
Kick off returner Ben Arata (Jr., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) had an outstanding game in the team’s loss at UW-La Crosse on Saturday. Arata, 5-9, 176 pounds, returned kick offs for the first time in his college career. He returned three and averaged 20.6 yards a return. He had a long return of 24 yards.

Offense
Fullback Joel Yogerst (Richfield, Wis. Slinger HS) played well for the Falcons in the team’s 7-0 loss at UW-Platteville on Saturday. Yogerst, 5-10, 214 pounds, caught one pass for two yards. He didn’t have a carry in the game, but blocked well from his backfield position. This season he has rushed for 126 yards and scored a team-high eight rushing touchdowns. He averages six yards per carry and has a long run of 50 yards.

Defense
Free safety Ben Arata (Jr., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) came up with two big interceptions in the team’s 7-0 loss at UW-Platteville on Saturday. Arata, 5-9, 176 pounds, also had two solo and three total tackles. His first interception came at the UWRF 27 and he returned it to the Falcon 29. With the score 0-0 in the second quarter, he picked off another UWP pass in the UWRF end zone to kill a Pioneer drive. This year Arata, who has started every game, leads the team with 42 solo and 55 total tackles. He has one tackle for loss, three interceptions, which leads the team, and tow pass break ups.

Special Teams
Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (So., Whitewater, Wis.) helped the Falcon effort with his play on the punt return team in UWRF’s 7-0 loss at UW-Platteville on Saturday. “Michael made some good decisions when Platteville punted the ball,” said Falcon Coach John O’Grady. Zweifel, 6-1, 185 pounds, fair caught three UWP punts.

Offense
Wide receiver Michael Woodward (Fr., Burnsville, Minn.) had his best day as a Falcon in the team’s 29-19 loss to UW-Stout on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field. Woodward, 6-3, 178 pounds, caught five passes for 109 yards and one touchdown. He caught a 40-yard touchdown pass with 4:48 to play in the third quarter to cut the Stout lead to 22-12. That was his long reception of the game. The five receptions and 109 receiving yards were both career highs for Woodward. This year he has caught 13 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns.


Special Teams
Kyle Stelter (Jr., Osceola, Wis.)
handled all of the long snaps in the team’s 29-19 loss to UW-Stout on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field. Stelter, 6-1, 200 pounds, did the snapping on one extra point, one field goal and four punts. “Kyle handled all the snaps very well,” said Falcon Coach John O’Grady.

Offense
Running back Matt Pollock (So., Waupun, Wis.) had a career best day to help lead the Falcons to a 27-19 win over No. 7 ranked UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at Carson Park. Pollock, 5-10, 198 pounds, carried the ball 29 times for 131 yards. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry. He had a long run of 15 yards. This year he leads the Falcons in rushing with 509 yards. He averages 4.4 yards per carry and has scored twice.

Defense
Linebacker Cole Lowell (Jr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) came up with several big plays in the team’s 27-19 win over No. 7 ranked UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at Carson Park. The biggest play for Lowell, 6-0, 207 pounds, was an interception with just 38 seconds to play. Eau Claire had driven to the RF 26 yard line before Lowell was able to pick off the pass and kill the Blugold drive. Lowell had five solo tackles in the game. This year he is fourth on the team in tackles with 21 solo and 34 total stops. He has one tackle for loss, three pass break ups and one interception.

Special Teams
Defensive back Ben Kron (So., Onalaska, Wis.) played an important role for the Falcons with his play on punt and kick off coverage. “Ben did a great job of getting down field and breaking up Eau Claire’s punt and kick off blocking schemes,” said Falcon Coach John O’Grady.

Offense
Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (So., Whitewater, Wis.) had yet another strong game for the Falcons in the team’s 52-24 loss to UW-Whitewater on Saturday at Ramer Field. Zweifel, 6-1, 185 pounds, led all players with 12 receptions for 152 yards. He caught a 25-yard pass from quarterback Storm Harmon midway through the fourth quarter to pull the Falcons to within 38-24. His longest reception covered 33 yards. Seven of his receptions gave the Falcons a first down and he caught two passes that gave UWRF a first down on fourth down situations. His touchdown reception came on a fourth-and-15 play. This year he has caught 50 passes for 571 yards and scored four touchdowns. He averages 11.4 yards per reception and 114.2 receiving yards per game.

Special Teams
Kicker Jesse Finer (Sr., Green Bay, Wis. East HS) had a perfect day kicking the ball in the team’s 52-24 loss to UW-Whitewater on Saturday at Ramer Field. Finer, 5-11, 174 pounds, was perfect on all three extra point attempts. He also kicked a 40-yard field goal in the at 9:48 of the third quarter and that brought the Falcons to within 24-17 at the time. Finer also handled all of the kickoffs and he finished with five and averaged 56.8 yards per kick. This year he is second on the team with 19 points, He has made 3-4 field goals and 7-10 extra points.

Offense
Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (So., Whitewater, Wis.) was the team’s top receiver in the Falcons 36-30 WIAC win over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday at Ramer Field. Zweifel, 6-1, 185 pounds, caught 16 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Storm Harmon with 5:10 to play in the first half to give UWRF a 20-13 lead at the time. With 7:42 left in the contest, the two combined again, this time on an 18-yard play. That gave the Falcons a 34-23 lead and that proved to be the difference in the game. “Michael made several key catches throughout the game,” Falcon Offensive Coordinator Andy Kotelnicki said. Nine of his receptions went for first downs and two receptions gave UWRF a first down in third down situations. This year Zweifel leads the Falcons with 38 catches for 419 yards and three touchdowns.

Defense
Cornerback Jamie Bisch (Sr., Roberts, Wis. St. Croix Central HS) was a leader in the Falcon defense that helped UWRF to a 36-30 WIAC win over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday at Ramer Field. Bisch, 5-11, 180 pounds, had four solo and five total tackles in the game. He also broke up two passes and had an interception. The interception came with 6:12 to play in the third quarter with the Falcons leading, 34-23. UWSP had driven to the UWRF 23 when Bisch picked off a pass at the UWRF 14 to kill the Pointer drive. Bisch leads the Falcons with two interceptions and is tied for the team lead with three pass break ups. He has 10 solo and 12 total tackles, including one tackle for loss.

Special Teams
Kick off returner Greg Klingelhutz (Fr., Chanhassen, Minn. Holy Family HS) played a key role in the team’s 36-30 WIAC win over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday at Ramer Field. Klingelhutz, 5-9, 176 pounds, returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown with 3:46 to play in the first quarter. The touchdown came just after UWSP closed to within 6-3, and gave the Falcons a 12-3 lead at the time. He returned five kickoffs for 158 yards in the game. He averaged 31.6 yards per return. This season he has returned 15 kickoffs and averaged 22.2 yards per return.

Offense
Quarterback Storm Harmon (Sr., Altoona, Wis.) led the Falcon offense to a productive day in the team’s 25-20 win at Alma College on Saturday. Harmon, 6-2, 200 pounds, had a career-high rushing day. He rushed for 97 yards and scored on a 3-yard run with just 10 seconds to play in the first half to give UWRF a 16-13 lead at the time. He completed 18-28 passes for 163 yards with no interceptions. This year he has rushed for 125 yards and two scores. He has completed 52-83 passes for 544 yards and one touchdown. He has been intercepted just once.

Defense
Tackle Jesse Goebel (Sr., Blaine, Minn. Centennial HS) helped lead a Falcon defense that held Alma to 27 points under its season average, in UWRF’s 25-20 win on Saturday. Goebel, 5-11, 233 pounds, had two solo and six total tackles. He had one sack for an 11-yard loss and finished with two tackles for a loss of 15 yards. This year Goebel has five solo and 13 total tackles.

Special Teams
Derek Nette (Jr., Sheldon, Wis. Flambeau HS)
made some key plays for the Falcons on special teams in the team’s 25-20 win at Alma on Saturday. Nette, 6-2, 200 pounds, was credited with two tackles with his play on kick off and punt coverage teams. This year he has three solo and seven total tackles in three games.

Lineman
Center Scott Witte (Sr., Cedeburg, Wis.) was the team's leader in the offensive line in Saturday's 25-20 win at Alma. The Falcons rushed for 194 yards and passed for 163 yards in the win.

Sept. 22, 2008

Offense
Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (So., Whitewater, Wis.) had a career best game for the Falcons in the team’s 41-34 loss to Northwestern on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field. Zweifel, 6-1, 185 pounds, caught 11 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. The 168 reception yards are a career high. He caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter that gave the Falcons a 21-13 lead at the time. His best catch was a leaping 39-yard reception down the right sideline with just seven seconds to play. That gave the Falcons a first-and-goal situation from the Northwestern four. This year Zweifel leads the Falcons with 13 catches for 200 yards and one touchdown.

Defense
End Steve Marich (So., Cottage Grove, Minn. Park HS) played well in the team’s 41-34 loss to Northwestern College on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field. Marich, 6-5, 212 pounds, had two solo and four total tackles. He had one tackle for loss (one yard) and also forced a fumble. In two games he has four solo and six total tackles this year.

Special Teams
Kicker Jesse Finer (Sr., Green Bay, Wis. East HS) handled all of the Falcon kicking chores in the team’s 41-34 loss to Northwestern College on Saturday afternoon at Ramer Field. Finer, 5-11, 174 pounds, had six kick offs that averaged 57.5 yards per try. He was also good on all four extra point attempts.

Lineman
Tackle Eric Breunig (So., Sheboygan Falls, Wis. South HS) help the Falcon offense to its best performance of the season on Saturday in the team's 41-34 loss to Northwestern at Ramer Field. The Falcons scored a season high in points and had season bests in passing yards (264) and rushing yards (249). Breunig, 6-5, 255 pounds, has started both games at tackle.

Sept. 15, 2008

Offense
Tight end Ryan Hansen (Sr., Grantsburg, Wis.) led all receivers in the Falcon game at St. John’s on Saturday. Hansen, 6-3, 210 pounds, caught seven passes for 65 yards with a long of 21 yards in the 22-6 SJU win. Three of his receptions gave the Falcons first downs.

Defense
Linebacker Justin Eloranta (Sr., Owen, Wis. Owen-Withee HS) had his best day as a Falcon in the team’s game at St. John’s on Saturday. He led all players with 12 solo and 18 total tackles. Eloranta, 5-10, 211 pounds, had one tackle for loss (two yards) in the 22-6 SJU win.

Special Teams
Long snapper Kyle Stelter (Jr., Osceola, Wis.) had an excellent day in poor weather conditions at St. John’s on Saturday. Stelter, 6-1, 200 pounds, was in his first game as the team’s long snapper. The game was played in constant rain and he was near perfect on eight punt snaps and one extra point snap.

Lineman
Center Scott Witte (Sr., Cedeburg, Wis.) was the team's leader in the offensive line in the Falcon game at St. John's on Saturday. His blocking helped the Falcons garner 203 yards in total offense against a strong SJU defense.
