Hasselquist, Phillippi Named to

USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

Falcon track & field athletes Krista Hasselquist (Sr., Osceola, Wis.) and Jason Phillippi (Sr., Maplewood, Minn. Tartan HS) have both been named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team.

Hasselquist, a health & human performance major, earned NCAA All-American honors in the indoor and outdoor shot put events. She placed sixth at the indoor meet and fifth at the outdoor championships. She also helped lead the Falcons to the NCAA Div. III National team Championship.

Phillippi, also a health & human performance major, earned NCAA All-American honors in the outdoor season. He placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The USTFCCCA honors Div. III individuals for their academic and athletic achievements during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Div. III indoor or outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
