Pat Borgestad

Pat Borgestad brings a wealth of talent to the Falcons and will be a key forward for the team in 2007-08. His size and strength make him tough to defend.
2006-07: Borgestad made the All-WIAC team after earning honorable mention to the team last season. He earned honorable mention to the All-NCHA team. Borgestad ended the season with 29 (16-13) points, third on the team. He finished second in goals (16), fourth in power-play goals (6), third in game-winning goals (3) and fourth in assists (13). Borgestad earned Player of the Week honors on Jan. 8 with his exceptional performances against Marian and Bethel. Against Marian he scored one goal and earned an assist in a 4-4 tie (Jan. 4). While playing Bethel, Borgestad scored the game-tying goal in a 7-4 win (Jan. 6). He had eight multiple point games, leading the Falcons to a record of 10-3-1 when scoring. In the Falcons final regular season game, Borgestad starting the scoring with two first period goals, which helped lead the Falcons past the Stout and to the NCHA Championship.
2005-06: Borgestad had a great sophomore season for the Falcons. He earned honorable mention to both the All-NCHA and All-WIAC teams. Three times he was named the team’s Player of the Week (Nov. 7, Dec. 19, Jan. 23). He finished third in scoring with 13 goals and 26 points. He scored five power-play goals and three game-winners. His three game-winning goals tied him for 29th in the NCAA Div. III. The Falcons were 7-3-1 when he scored a goal. He was third on the team in power-play points (5-8-13). He had seven multiple point games with his best performance a one goal, two assist effort in a 5-5 tie with St. Olaf. Borgestad scored at least one point in four straight games. He was a consistent player both at home and on the road. He scored 14 points at home and 12 on the road.
2004-05: Borgestad joined the Falcons at the mid point of the season and played in three games. He saw the ice in home games against St. Scholastica and Superior and at St. Norbert.
Personal: Borgestad played junior hockey at Des Moines of the USHL. He earned a spot on the 2002 USHL All-Start team. Borgestad also competed with the North American Selects and with Team Minnesota in the Select 17 Tournament. The Select 17 team won the tournament championship. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as playing in the USHL playoffs. At Como Park High School he was twice named to the all-conference team and earned honorable mention to the All-State team. He is the son of Becky and Bob and has two brothers and one sister. He has a son, Brady, 16 months old. Borgestad is majoring in health & human performance.

TJ Dahl

TJ Dahl has had three great seasons for the Falcons. He is a talented forward who has solid offensive skills. He looks to lead the experienced first line to another NCHA championship as a captain.
2006-07: Dahl’s junior season proved to be his best as a Falcon, earning him the NCHA Player of the Year award. He led the NCHA with 52 (12-40) points, as well as leading the NCHA in assists (40), with almost twice as many as any one else in the league. Dahl had 12 multiple assist games and three multiple goal games. He is able to use his excellent puck handling skills and break away speed to make space and create passing lanes. He is currently seventh at UWRF in career assists (79). Dahl was very clutch with four game-winning goals (second on the team), tied for fourth in the NCHA. He was named to the first All-NCHA, All-WIAC, RBK Hockey West All-American and USCHO.com West teams. He also was named to the NCHA All-Academic team. Dahl earned UWRF Player of the Week honors (Oct. 30) with two goals and two assists in the opening weekend. He earned UWRF Player of the Week again (Nov. 13) with two goals (one a game-winner) and two assists in a weekend sweep of Augsburg and St. John’s. Because of Dahl’s superb season he was awarded the team’s Norqual Award, given by the Falcon coaching staff. Dahl was a key member of UWRF’s prolific power-play unit with eight goals (second on team).
2005-06: Dahl had a second straight banner year for the Falcons. He was named to the first All-NCHA and All-WIAC teams after finishing with nine goals and 30 points. His 21 assists led UWRF. He scored six power-play goals and two game-winners. Dahl was named the team’s Player of the Week twice (Nov. 14, Nov. 21) and was named the NCHA and WIAC Player of the Week on Nov. 22. He earned honorable mention to the USCHO team. He was also one of the team’s assistant captains. Dahl tied for the team lead with nine multiple point games and four times had three points in a contest. He scored at least one point in five straight games and scored at least a point in nine of 10 games early in the season. He earned honorable mention to the 2005-06 All-USCHO.com preseason team. Dahl was a consistent scorer throughout games with 12 first period, 10 second period and nine third period points. He scored 22 (8-14) points at home and 9 (1-8) points on the road. Dahl finished second in power-play points (6-11-17) and UWRF was 6-0-0 when he scored a goal.
2004-05: Dahl had the biggest impact of all first year players for the Falcons. He finished the year with 12 goals and 30 points. He played in all 28 games and the 30 points was not only the most by any first year player, but second of all players. He scored four power-play goals. He picked up his first collegiate point, an assist, in his second game, a 6-1 win over Eau Claire on Oct. 30. In his next game he scored his first goal of his career, in a 3-3 tie with Augsburg on Nov. 5. He ended the season strong scoring at least one point in five of the team’s last six games. He had three three-point games. He scored a goal and had two assists in a 4-1 win at Stout, he had two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win over Stevens Point on Feb. 11, and three assists in a 5-2 win over Eau Claire on Feb. 12. He earned honorable mention to the All-WIAC team. Dahl was the leading scorer of first year players in the NCHA and he finished the season with eight multiple point games. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and to the Dean's List.
Personal: Dahl attended Apple Valley High School where he earned honorable mention to the all-conference team. He helped lead the team to an undefeated 23-win season. He lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as helping the team to a 25-1 record in 2002. He earned the school's Valley Pride Award. In 2003-04 at Des Moines of the USHL, Dahl scored 19 goals and added 20 assists. He also played for the Tri-City Storm where he was named the team's Most Improved Player. He is the son of Todd and Nancy and has two brothers. Dahl is majoring in finance.

Chad Georgell

Chad Georgell is in his final year of hockey with the Falcons in 2007-08. He plays defense. He played for the Falcons in the 2004-05 season when he played in three games. He played junior hockey in Fairbanks of the NAHL and played his high school hockey at West Valley High in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was twice named his junior team's best defenseman. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as competing in the league playoffs. He is the son of Gary and Nancy and has two brothers. Georgell is majoring in health and human performance and business administration.

Wade Harstad

Wade Harstad has had three consistently strong seasons for the Falcons scoring 15 points in 2006 and 2007, playing in all 29 games. The forward has skills that can help the Falcons in both ends of the rink.
2006-07: Harstad finished the season with 15 (5-10) points, with a power-play goal. He registered two goals against Bethel in a 7-4 victory in front of the home crowd. He also tallied another two goal game against Eau Claire in a 4-1 win at Hunt Arena. Harstad had two three point games, in wins over Superior and Lake Forest (NCHA quarterfinals).
2005-06: Harstad played in every game for the Falcons and finished with seven goals and 11 points. He started the season strong scoring goals in each of the first two games. Harstad finished with two game-winning goals (vs. Lawrence and Marian). Three times during the season he scored in back-to-back contests.
2004-05: Harstad was a first year player who played an important role with the team. He played in 25 games and finished the season with five goals and 11 points. He scored two game-winning goals and one short-handed goal. He scored his first collegiate point in his first game. He picked up an assist in a 7-0 win over MSOE on Oct. 26. He scored his first collegiate goal in a 5-2 win over Hamline on Nov. 20. It was a short-handed goal. He finished the year with two multiple point games. He had two assists in the team’s 5-1 win over Stout on Dec. 10 and two goals in a 5-2 win over Stevens Point on Feb. 11. He scored game-winning goals in a 4-2 win over St. Scholastica on Jan. 22 and the game vs. Stevens Point. He had one three game scoring streak when he had three goals and one assist.
Personal: Harstad attended Moorhead High School where he was named to the all-conference team. He helped lead the team to a second place finish in the Minnesota State Tournament. He lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as playing in the Minnesota State Tournament. Harstad scored 11 goals and dished out 17 assists in 2004 for St. Louis of the USHL. He is the son of Mark and Carla and has two brothers. Harstad is majoring in bio-medical science.

Jim Henkemeyer

Jim Henkemeyer returns for his fourth season with the Falcons and will be one of the team’s top players on defense in 2007-08.
2006-07: Henkemeyer had a stellar third season with the Falcons, showing he is one of the top defensemen in the NCHA. The junior picked up several post-season awards; Henkemeyer made the RBK Hockey West All-American, All-WIAC, All-NCHA, and USCHO.com West teams. He demonstrated that he is the most productive offensive treat the Falcons have on the blue line. Henkemeyer ranked fifth overall in goals (8) and finished tied for second in goals in the NCHA among defensemen. He ended the season leading the defensive crew with 24 (8-16) points, playing in all but one game (28). He is a huge contributor on the blue line with his accurate slap shot on the power play. He led all defensemen in the NCHA in power-play goals (7) and was second on the team. With the help of Henkemeyer the team was ranked first in the NCHA in power-play percentage (28.3). He can also dish the puck off finishing the season second on the team in assists (16). In a game against St. Norbert Henkemeyer showed up in a big way parking two goals in the back of the net, leading the Falcons to a 3-2 victory against their rivals in front of a home crowd. He earned WIAC (Dec. 2), NCHA (Dec. 2), and River Falls Player of the Week (Dec. 2, Feb. 4) honors. He showed his intelligence in the classroom by making the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2005-06: Henkemeyer had a breakthrough season for the Falcons and proved to be one of the most reliable players game-in-and-game-out on the blue line. He finished second in scoring among defensemen with six goals and 12 points. He finished with three power-play goals. He earned honorable mention to the All-WIAC team. He started the season strong with a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Eau Claire. He had three multiple point games and scored at least one points in three straight games early in the season. Henkemeyer finished with eight points at Hunt Arena (5-3) and four on the road (1-3). He had four power-play points (3-1) and UWRF was 6-0 when he scored a goal in a game.
2004-05: Henkemeyer proved to be a solid defenseman with good puck handling skills. In 13 games he finished with four assists. He scored his first collegiate point in his first game. He picked up an assist in a 7-0 win over MSOE on Oct. 26.
Personal: He earned all-conference honors as a defenseman at St. Cloud Apollo High School. He helped Bismarck of the NAHL win the Borne Cup. He is the son of Mike and Pat and has two sisters. Henkemeyer is majoring in marketing communications.

Jim Jensen

D, 5-11, 190, Senior, #6

Jim Jensen is one of UWRF’s hardest hitting, aggressive players on the blue line. Entering his second season with the Falcons, Jensen would like to end his college hockey career with a National Championship.
2006-2007: Jensen was a terrific addition to the Falcons adding depth at the defense. He’s a player that adds excitement and energy with his physical style of play. Jensen was clutch on the power play, scoring all four of his goals with a player advantage. He finished the season with 14 (4-10) points, with one game-winning goal and a game-tying goal. He scored the game-winning goal against Lake Forest in a 3-1 victory at Hunt Arena. His game-tying goal came with only 3:55 remaining in the third period in a game against Marian, finishing in a 4-4 tie. Jensen ended the season with three multiple assist games. Jensen is a well-balanced strong defender making it tough for the opposition to get around him.
Personal: He transferred to UWRF from UM-Duluth before the start of the 2006-07 season. He played at Waterloo of the USHL where he was the team captain in the 2004-05 season after serving as an assistant captain in the 2002-03 campaign. He earned honorable mention to the all-conference hockey team at Hill-Murray High School. He also earned letters in football and track & field. He lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as beating White Bear Lake in front of a packed house at the State Fairgrounds coliseum to qualify for the Minnesota State tournament. He is the son of Dianne and Jim and has two brothers. Brother Tom is a member of the team. Jensen is majoring in journalism.

Jason Usher

Jason Usher returns for his fourth season with the Falcons. He gives the team outstanding play on the blue line, with his aggressive and smart play.
2006-07: Usher played in the first part of the season, but his campaign was short lived because he participated in UWRF’s international traveling classroom. While Usher was in the line-up, the Falcons had an 11-2 record. He ended the season with three (1-2) points, playing in the first 13 games. His only goal came on the power-play against the Stevens Point, leading to a 4-3 victory at Stevens Point (Nov. 18). He performed well in the classroom earning WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and NCHA All-Academic honors.
2005-06: Usher missed nearly the entire first half of the season with an injury. He returned to the lineup and the Falcons were 12-6-1 in the last 19 games of the season with him in the lineup. He finished with one goal and six points in 19 games. Usher, one of the team’s assistant captains, had two multiple point games. He scored a goal and had an assist in a 5-3 win at St. Scholastica on Feb. 3 and he had two assists in a 5-1 win at Eau Claire on Jan. 20. He finished with two power-play points and scored two points at home and four on the road. Usher’s most productive period was the second with one goal and three points. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll for the second time. Usher was named to the Dean’s List after the fall and spring semester.
2004-05: Usher played in all 28 games for the Falcons and finished with three goals and 15 total points. He scored two power-play goals and one game-winner. He started the season strong with five points in his first three games. In mid season he scored at least one point in four straight games. He scored his first collegiate goal in his first game, a 7-0 win over MSOE on Oct. 26. It was both a power-play goal and the game-winner. He scored his other power-play goal in a 6-2 win at Marian on Jan. 7. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and was named to the Dean's List in both the fall and spring semesters.
Personal: While playing for Fairbanks of the NAHL in 2004, Usher was named the team’s top defenseman and put up 24 points (7-17). He helped lead the team to the NAHL playoffs. At Eden Prairie High School he was the team's captain in 2002 and a Great 8 participant. He also played in the Minnesota State Tournament. He was the president of the Friends Forever Club - an organization that gathered handicapped students with the general student population. He earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll and was named to the All-Academic team. Usher also played on the high school football team that won the Minnesota State Championship. He lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as playing in the Minnesota State High School hockey tournament. He is the son of Dave and Randi and has one sister. Usher is majoring in psychology and business administration.

Derek Hansberry

Derek Hansberry returns to the Falcons as a forward and looks to have another productive season. He has outstanding speed, the ability to put the puck in the back of the net at any time, and a great understanding of the game.
2006-07: Hansberry had another marvelous season, tying for the lead in goals (21), power-play goals (9) and game-winning goals in the NCHA, leading his team in all of these statistical categories. He was honored by making several post-season teams; the RBK Hockey West All-American (2nd time), West USCHO.com (2nd time), All-NCHA (2nd time) and All-WIAC (2nd time) teams. Hansberry finished the season with 35 (21-14) points, playing in all 29 games. He was named team’s Player of the Week twice (Nov. 20, Jan. 29). He earned the honor on Nov. 20th because of two outstanding road performances against Eau Claire and Stevens Point. Hansberry tallied the game-winning goal and an insurance goal against UWEC in a 3-1 victory (Nov. 17). Then he added an assist to his dazzling weekend in a close 4-3 win against Stevens Point (Nov. 18). Later in the season the Falcons matched up against the same two teams at Hunt Arena. Hansberry registered one goal and one assist in a 3-0 win against the Pointers (Jan. 19). The next night he topped himself by scoring two goals in a 4-1 victory against the Blugolds (Jan. 20). When Hansberry scores a goal the team finished 13-1-1. He had five multiple goal games, with one hat trick (Dec. 12) against St. Mary’s. He also showed his classroom knowledge by earning the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and All-Academic NCHA honors. He also earned CoSIDA District V At Large Academic All-American third team honors.
2005-06: Hansberry had one of the best freshman campaigns in school history. The first year player was named to the All-NCHA and All-WIAC first teams after finishing with 18 goals and 33 points. He was twice named the team’s Player of the Week (Dec. 5, Feb. 13). Hansberry was named the team’s Most Valuable Player – one of only a handful of Falcon players to earn that honor after a freshman season. He scored 11 power-play goals and finished tied for eighth in the NCAA Div. III. He led the Falcons in power-play points (11-11-22). He scored one short-handed goal (vs. Stout) and one game-winner (vs. Bethel). He finished tied for 28th in the NCAA in goals per game (.67). Hansberry earned honorable mention to the USCHO.com team and was named to the site’s West Rookie team. UWRF had a 10-3-3 record when he scored a goal and his most productive period was the second (3-10-13). He tied for the team lead with nine multiple point games – he twice scored three points in a game – vs. Marian (1-2-3) and vs. Hamline (0-3-3). He had the longest scoring streak for the Falcons with at least one point in 12 straight games (Nov. 19 – Jan. 21). He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and earned Dean’s List honors after the fall and spring semesters.
Personal: Hansberry played junior hockey at Wichita Falls of the NAHL. In 2005 he played 50 games and scored 16 goals and 33 points. He was the team's Unsung Hero Award winner in 2004 and was an alternate captain. In 2005 he was an alternate captain and earned honorable mention for the team's Player of the Week award. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as scoring two short-handed goals in the first round of the league playoffs against Texas. He is the son of Jeannette and Brian and has one brother and one sister. Hansberry is majoring in business administration.

Lance Malark

Lance Malark is back with the Falcons for his third season and he plays forward.
2006-07: Malark had another solid year for the Falcons. He scored his first collegiate goal in a 7-1 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 17. He also had an assist in the game. He had two two-point games. He had two assists in a 10-2 win over St. Mary’s on Dec. 12. He played in 19 games.
2005-06: Malark had an impact in his first season playing in 19 games and recording seven assists. He recorded an assist in his first collegiate game, a 5-1 win over Eau Claire on Oct. 28. He picked up two more assists in his second game, an 8-0 win over Lawrence. Malark scored five points at home and two on the road. He recorded three points in both first and third periods of games. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
Personal: Malark played junior hockey at Fargo-Moorhead of the NAHL and helped that team to a second place finish in the National Tournament. He played in 46 games and scored 18 goals and finished with 40 points. He also played at White Bear Lake High School where he was named to the all-conference team in four seasons. He was named to the All-State team in 2003. He was the Bears' Rookie of the Year in 2000. He is the son of Cheryl and Andrew and has one sister. Malark is undecided on a major field of study.

Josh Meyers

Josh Meyers returns to the Falcons for his third season on the blue line. He is a solid and reliable defensive player.
2006-07: Meyers played all 29 games for the Falcons, matching up against some of the best offensive players in the NCHA. He showed his aggressiveness, but in a very controlled fashion, only committing seven penalties totally 14 minutes. With the extra minutes of playing time Meyers demonstrated his dependability and solid decision-making. His only point of the season, and first point as a Falcon, was an assist, which came in a game against rival Eau Claire. With the assist he helped his team to a 4-1 victory in front of the home crowd at Hunt Arena.
2005-06: Meyers played in 18 games and even though he did not score, he proved his value with solid play in both ends of the rink. He earned his first letter for the Falcons.
Personal: Meyers played junior hockey at Bozeman of the NAHL. In 2005 he played in 41 games and finished with two goals and nine points. He won the team’s Best Defenseman award. At International Falls High School he was twice named to the all-conference team and twice won the defenseman Best Plus/Minus award. He earned a spot on the A Honor Roll. Meyers lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as playing in the Minnesota State Tournament. He is the son of Tina and Kelly and has one sister. Meyers is majoring in conservation.

Dustin Norman

Dustin Norman returns for his third season with the Falcons. The forward has great skills in all phases of the game.
2006-07: Norman had another solid season finishing sixth on the team in scoring with 10 goals and 20 points. He scored at least one point in six of the team’s first seven games. He finished with three multiple point games – he had one goal and three points against St. Olaf on Nov. 4 and two goals and three points against Lake Forest on Feb. 17. Norman scored a short-handed goal against Marian and had three power-play goals. He scored game-winners against St. Mary’s and Stout. His biggest point of the year was a power-play, game-winning overtime goal at Stout in the last game of the regular season on Feb. 10. The goal lifted the Falcons to the NCHA regular season championship. Norman was named the team’s Player of the Week on Nov. 6.
2005-06: Norman’s first year was cut short when a leg injury kept him out of the team’s last seven games of the season. But he was having a great season to that point and finished the year with six goals and 17 points. He scored three power-play goals and two game-winners. Norman was named the team’s and WIAC’s Player of the Week on Jan. 10. He had three multiple point games including four assists in a 6-2 win over Marian on Jan. 6. The four assists tied him for ninth in the NCAA in assists in a single game. Twice he scored at least a point in four straight games. Norman had nine power-play points and UWRF was 5-0-0 when he scored a goal. He scored 11 points (5-6) at home and six (1-5) in road games. His most productive periods were the second (3-4-7) and third (2-5-7).
Personal: Norman played junior hockey at Neepawa in the MJHL. He was twice named the team's Most Valuable Player. He was the leading scorer among first year players in the league with 43 goals and 87 points. He was named the team's Rookie of the Year. In 2005 he scored 36 goals and 73 total points in 55 games. Norman was twice named to the league's All-Star team. He is the son of Carla and Wayne and has one sister. Norman is majoring in business management.

Matt Szypura

Matt Szypura is in his third season with the Falcons and plays defense.
2006-07: Szypura played in 18 games and had five minor penalties. He played solid defense for the Falcons and came up with several outstanding defensive plays throughout the season. He earned his second letter.
2005-06: Szypura got some valuable playing time in seven games for the Falcons. He picked up his first collegiate point in his first collegiate game, a 5-1 win over Eau Claire on Oct. 28.
Personal: Szypura played juniors at Springfield of the NAHL and earned the team’s Hardest Shot award. In 44 games in 2005 he scored four goals and finished with 13 points. He also played at Texarkana during the 2003-04 season. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as competing in the league playoffs while at Texarkana in the 2003-04 season. He is the son of Lori and Bill and has two sisters. Szypura is majoring in health & human performance.

Tyler Czuba

Tyler Czuba is in his fist year of hockey with the Falcons and he plays forward. He played three seasons at Swan Valley of the MJHL where he was the league’s Most Valuable Player after the 2005-06 season. He was also a member of the All-Star team. His biggest junior hockey thrill was scoring a natural hat trick in the first game of the league playoffs in 2004. He played in three games at the University of Maine in the 2006-07 season and had one assist. He is the son of Christine and Rick and has one sister. Czuba is majoring in health & human performance.

Mitch Kerns

Mitch Kerns rejoins the Falcons for his second season. He plays forward.
2006-07: The aggressive forward played in all but one game and led all freshmen in scoring. He scored six goals and 16 points. He had a power-play goal against Eau Claire and a game-winning goal against Lake Forest in the NCHA playoffs. His goal against Eau Claire came in his first collegiate game. In mid season he scored 12 points in 12 games. His best game was a one goal, thee point performance in a 10-2 win over St. Mary’s.
Personal: Kerns played at both Omaha of the USHL and Billings of the NAHL. At Bills he led the team in goals in 2005-06. At Stoughton High School he was named to the All-State team three times and was his team’s Most Valuable Player twice. He led the team in points and was named to the first all-conference team three times. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrills as traveling to Alaska and other states and meeting new people. He is the son of Kathy and Richard and has two brothers and three sisters. Kerns is undecided on a major field of study.

Jordan McIntyre

Jordan McIntyre returns for his second season with the Falcons. He is a forward.
2006-07: McIntyre played in every game but one for the Falcons. He had a strong season finishing with four goals and 12 points. He had one of the team’s two short-handed goals – it came in a 5-3 win at Superior on Feb. 2. He scored a goal in his first collegiate game against Lawrence. Twice he had two point games. McIntyre was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
Personal: McIntyre played junior hockey at Portage of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League where the Terriers won the Anevet Cup and the Turnbull Cup. McIntyre was named Most Valuable Player of the Anevet Cup. His biggest junior hockey thrill was winning the Anevet Cup and playing in the Royal Bank Cup. He played at Grand Forks Central High School and was named to the all-conference and all-state teams. McIntyre was also named North Dakota’s 2004 Mr. Hockey. He is the son of Larry and Patty and has two sisters. McIntyre is undecided on a major field of study.

Tyler Owens

Tyler Owens plays goaltender and is in his first year with the Falcons in 2007-08. He played junior hockey at Brockville where he was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2005. In 2006-07 he played at SUNY-Fredonia where he had a 3-0 record with a 3.76 goals against average. He lists his biggest hockey thrill as helping Little Caesars win the Midget AAA Major Michigan State Championship. He is the son of Kathy and Barney and has one sister. Owens is majoring in business administration.

Matt Page

Matt Page is back for his second season in goal for the Falcons in 2007-08.
2006-07: Page earned his first letter. The first year player was voted by his teammates as the Most Improved Player.
Personal: At New Richmond High School Page was named to the Wisconsin All-State team for three straight seasons. As a sophomore he was named to the All-Tournament team after helping the Tigers to a runner-up finish in the WIAA Tournament. Page was named to the all-conference team three times. He lists his biggest high school hockey thrill as playing in the state championship game. He is the son of Annette and Kelly Erickson and has one brother and two sisters. Page is majoring in business management.

Sean Pettinger

D, 6-1, 192, Sophomore #24

Swan Valley, MJHL

Sean Pettinger returns for his second season with the Falcons and he is a defenseman.
2006-07: Pettinger played in 23 games and finished with one goal and four points. His goal was a big one – it was the game-winner in a 4-1 win at Hunt Arena over Stout. The win helped keep the team’s NCHA regular season championship hopes alive. Pettinger picked up two assists in a win over Lawrence. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
Personal: At Swan Valley Pettinger was named the team’s Most Improved player in 2002-03, the Unsung Hero award winner in 2003-04 and the Top Defenseman in 2005-06. He played in the 2005-06 Manitoba Junior Hockey League All-Star game. He graduated with academic distinction honors from Souris Collegiate in 2003. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as beating Neepawa in the first round of the MJHL playoffs in 2004. He is the son of Dorothy and Rick and has three brothers. Pettinger is undecided on a major field of study.

Brett Burgau

Brett Burgau joins the Falcons for his first year of college hockey. He plays forward. He played junior hockey at Alexandria of the NAHL and was named the league’s Player of the Year during the 2006-07 season. At New Ulm High School he was twice named to the all-conference team, won the team’s Best Forward (2003) and Tom Macho (2004) awards and was the team’s Rookie of the Year (2002). He was on the academic Honor Roll. His biggest high school hockey thrill was playing in the sectional final in his sophomore season. He is the son of Jean and Kevin and has three brothers. Burgau is undecided on a major field of study.

Nolan Craner

Nolan Craner joins the Falcons for his first year of college hockey and he is a forward. He played the 2006-07 season at Alpena in the NAHL. In 2003 he was named to the Central States Hockey League’s All-Star team and helped his team win the Hurster Cup. His biggest junior hockey thrills are winning the division championship and playing in the national tournament. He is the son of Nancy and Michael and has one sister. Craner is majoring in conservation.

Jon Halstenson

Jon Halstenson joins the Falcons for his first year of college hockey. He plays defense. He played at Fargo-Moorhead in the NAHL and was the team’s assistant captain. At Fargo North High School he was named to the all-conference team. He also earned hockey and football academic letters. He lists his biggest junior hockey thrill as scoring a goal against the USA U-18 team. He is the son of Yvonne and Tom and has one sister. Halstenson is majoring in business.

Tom Jensen

Tom Jensen is a defenseman who is in his first year of hockey with the Falcons. He played junior hockey with the Marquette Rangers in the NAHL. He was the team’s captain at North St. Paul High School. His brother, Jim, is also a member of the Falcon team. He is the son of Dianne and Jim and has two brothers. Jensen is majoring in health & human performance.

Alex Lundbohm

Alex Lundbohm plays forward and is in his first year of collegiate hockey with the Falcons. He played with the Alexandria Blizzard of the NAHL and was the team’s Most Valuable Player. At Roseau High School he was named to the all-conference team, was a Hobey Baker Award winner, the team’s Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year. Lundbohm was a member of the National Honor Society. His biggest high school hockey thrill was playing in the sectional finals as a senior. He is the son of Terry and Jack and has two brothers and one sister. Lundbohm is majoring in biology.

Jordan MacIntyre

Jordan MacIntyre joins the Falcons for his first year of college hockey and he is a forward. He played for the Victoria Grizzlies in the BCHL in 2006-07 and finished with 14 goals and 41 points. In his three seasons of junior hockey he had 46 goals and 125 points. His biggest junior hockey thrill was inning the Island Division Championship in 2005-06. He is the son of Kelly and Ray and has one sister. MacIntyre is majoring in biology.

Clark Oliver

Clark Oliver is in his first season of college hockey. He is a goaltender. Oliver played junior hockey with the Bismarck Bobcats of he NAHL. He was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week during the 2006-07 season. He is the son of Stephanie and Ron. Oliver is undecided on a major field of study.

Riley Riddell

Riley Riddell starts his first year of collegiate hockey with the Falcons in 2007-08. He plays forward. Riddell played for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in the MJHL. He was the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2005 and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2006 and 2007. He played in the MJHL All-Star game in 2006 and 2007. His biggest junior hockey thrill was playing in the MJHL playoffs in 2006 and 2007. He is the son of Gaylene and Rod and has one sister. Riddle is undecided on a major field of study.

Ricardo Yesue

Ricardo Yesue joins the Falcons for his first college hockey season. He is a forward. Yesue played with the Alpena Icediggers where he was the team’s co-captain in 2006-07. He was named to the academic honor roll at Southgate Anderson High School. He lists his biggest college hockey thrill as making and playing in the NAHL playoffs. He is the son of Marilyn and Rick and has one sister. Yesue is majoring in business.
