| Nov. 12, 2007 Maria Michaud (Sr., Foley, Minn.) earned NCAA All-Midwest Regional honors at the Midwest Regional meet held Saturday in Winneconne, Wis. Michaud placed 33rd overall in the race that had 266 runners. She finished the 6,000-meter race in 22:35.05. That was her best time of the season by 32 seconds. She helped lead the Falcons to a ninth place team finish. Thirty-seven teams competed in the Regional. "Maria capped off a very impressive four-year career at UWRF, saving her best for last in running a very fast, agressive race. Maria has worked very hard and had a tremendous season," said Falcon Coach Scott Sekelsky. |
| Oct. 29, 2007 Carly Eggert (So., St. Michael, Minn. St. Michael/Albertville HS) was the third Falcon to cross the finish line at the WIAC Meet on Saturday. She placed 58th overall in a personal best time of 24:29. "Carly set the tone early for our No.l 3-7 runners by being aggressive and staying near the front of the race. We asked the team to take some chances and Carly, along with many of her teammates, did just that." The Falcons placed sixth in the nine team meet. |
| Oct. 8, 2007 Becca Jordahl (So., Pocatello, Idaho, Century HS) crushed the Falcon 6,000-meter record and won the Tori Neubauer Invitational at La Crosse on Saturday. She ran the course in 21:46 to break the record set by Marlene Yaeger in the 2005 season by 13 seconds. Jordahl has won all three races she has run this season. She won Saturday's race by about two seconds over the second place finisher. |
| Oct. 1, 2007 Becca Jordahl (So., Pocatello, Idaho, Century HS) won the prestigious Roy Griak Maroon III Invitational title on Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn. Jordahl covered the 6,000-meter course in 22:01.55 and beat the second place runner by 30 seconds. Her time was the third best ever by a Falcon. She defeated 562 runners in the race. | Sept. 17, 2007 Becca Jordahl (So., Pocatello, Idaho, Century HS) had a great early season race winning the individual championship at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday. She covered the 6,000-meter course in 22:21. She beat the second place finisher by a step at the finish line. Jordahl beat 368 runners in the race that featured Div. II and III teams. |
