Geehan Earns Honorable Mention to AVCA All-America Team

Falcon Andrea Geehan (Sr., St. Paul, Minn. Como Park HS) earned honorable mention to the 2006 AVCA All-America team.

Geehan, who was named to the first All-WIAC and first All-AVCA Midwest Region teams this year, was second on the team with 491 kills. She finished with 1,400 career kills and that is third all-time. She had a .270 hitting percentage this season. Geehan had 28 aces, 165 digs and was second in total blocks with 117. She had 360 career blocks. The 491 kills this year is seventh in a single season. Geehan was named the team's Player of the Week three times.

Geehan, who was earned honorable mention to the AVCA All-Midwest Region team after the 2005 season, becomes the seventh Falcon to earn recognition on All-AVCA teams. She joins Cara Gustafson (1995, 1996), Jen Frodl (1996), Melissa Mattson (1999, 2000), Melissa Tvrdik (2002, 2003) and Krystle Brune (2003) as Falcons who have been honored.
