Jensen, Peterson, Saufl Named to D3Kicks.com All-Central Region Soccer Team

Falcon soccer players Amy Jensen (Sr., Plymouth, Minn. Bloomington Kennedy HS), Ashley Peterson (Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn. Forest Lake HS) and Kim Saufl (Sr., Champlin, Minn.) have all been named to D3Kicks.com All-Central Region teams. Jensen was named to the first team while Peterson and Saufl were named to the second unit. Earlier this year all three were named to the All-WIAC first team. Peterson was named for the fourth straight year and Jensen was named for the third straight season. Jensen finished with five goals and eight assists for 18 points. She finished third in points for the Falcons. She scored 28 goals, 22 assists and 78 career points. She was named the team's Offensive Player of the Week twice during the 2006 season. Peterson, who played forward for most of the 2006 season, led the team in scoring with 17 goals and nine assists for 43 points. She scored five game-winning goals. In her four year career she finished with 37 goals, 25 assists for 99 points. The 17 goals she scored is fourth most, the nine assists is fourth most and the 43 points is fifth most in a season. The 37 career goals in second, the 25 assists is second and the 99 points is fourth most on the Falcon career list. She was named the team's Offensive Player of the Week four times during the 2006 season. Peterson was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 10 and Sept. 18. Saufl was second in scoring for the Falcons. She had 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points. She finished her career with 15 goals and nine assists. Saufl was named the team's Offensive Player of the Week twice during the 2006 season. The Falcons finished 10-7-2 overall and 5-3 in the WIAC. They advanced to the WIAC playoffs for the fifth straight season in 2006. |
