Falcon goalie AJ Bucchino (Jr., Bow, N.H.), defenseman Jim Henkemeyer (Jr., St. Cloud, Minn.) and forwards TJ Dahl (Jr., Burnsville, Minn.) and Derek Hansberry (So., Arvada, Col.) have all been named to 2007 USCHO.com D-III West All-America teams. Bucchino, Henkemeyer and Dahl were all named to the first West team and Hansberry was named to the second West team. Earlier this year all four players were named to the first All-NCHA team and to AHCA-RBK All-America teams. Dahl was named the NCHA's Player of the Year. Bucchino played in all 29 games for the Falcons and finished with a 21-6-2 record. He had a 2.12 goals against average and a .933 save percentage. He recorded one shutout. Bucchino was named the NCHA's Player of the Week three times during the season. In 47 career games he has a 31-11-5 record with a 2.10 goals against average and a .934 save percentage. He has three career shutouts. He made a season-high 43 saves in a 3-1 win over St. Olaf. He made 24 saves in a 3-0 shutout of Stevens Point. Bucchino also had two assists. Dahl scored 12 goals and 40 assists for 52 points to lead the Falcons. He scored eight power-play goals and four game-winners. He broke the 100-career point mark during the season and currently has scored 33 goals, 79 assists for 112 career points. Dahl scored at least one point in 26 of the team's 29 games. He twice scored four points in a game - on Dec. 12 in a 10-2 win over St. Mary's (2-2-4) and on Feb. 16 in a 4-1 win over Lake Forest (1-3-4). The Falcons were 10-0 this year when he scored a goal. He had had 18 multiple point games and has had 35 career multiple-point games. He was named the team's Player of the Week twice. He scored 22 power-play points (8-14) which tied him for the team lead. Henkemeyer led all Falcon defensemen in scoring. He scored eight goals and 24 points. He scored seven power-play goals and two game-winners. He scored 22 power-play points (7-15) which tied him for the team lead. Henkemeyer has 14 goals and 40 career points. He was named the NCHA Player of the Week on Dec. 4. UWRF has a 4-1 record when he scores a goal. Henkemeyer scored one goal and four points in the team's 10-2 win over St. Mary's on Dec. 12. Hansberry led the Falcons with 21 goals and was second on the team in points with 35. He led the team with nine power-play goals and five game-winning goals. Hansberry has 39 career goals and 68 career points. He had 10 multiple point games and he has had 20 career multiple point games. He scored two goals and five points in the team's 10-2 win over St. Mary's on Dec. 12. Hansberry was twice named the team's Player of the Week. He was third on the team in power-play points (9-5-14). The Falcons were 12-1-1 when he scored a goal. The Falcons finished 21-6-2 overall in 2007 and won the NCHA regular season championship. |
