Falcon Football Locker, Training Rooms

A new $2.4 addition was completed in July 2005 to the Robert P. Knowles Physical Education and Recreation Center. The addition connects the W. H. Hunt Arena and the Knowles Building at a second site. The 12,300 squad foot addition added two locker rooms, showers, rest rooms, training rooms and workrooms. There are two 50 stall locker rooms. The locker rooms come equipped with an overhead projection screen for watching film, a state-of-the-art stereo system, access to the internet, spacious lockers, new lavatories and showers, and red and black carpeting. The entire facility was furnished with air conditioning. The locker rooms offer the Falcon football team plenty of room to dress, prepare and shower and change after games and practices. Other modifications include: the former training room converted into laundry facilities and the old laundry area converted into two offices. The NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs use the same locker and training rooms during their Summer Training Camp held each July and August. The Chiefs return for their 16th camp at UW-RF in 2006.
