Lindner Named to AHCA-RBK Hockey All-America Team

Falcon goalie Amber Lindner (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) has been named to the 2007 RBK Hockey Div. III first West All-America team.

Lindner played the bulk of the minutes in goal for the 2007 Falcons. She played in and started 24 games and finished the regular season with a 1.87 goals against average and a .928 save percentage. She had an 11-8-4 record with three shutouts. She recorded shutouts against Augsburg (3-0), Eau Claire (1-0) and Finlandia (6-0). She led all NCHA goalies with 516 saves and finished second in goals against average. In the NCAA Div. III, she was eighth in goals against average and ninth in save percentage after the regular season.

Lindner, who was named the NCHA Player of the Year in 2007, was named to the All-NCHA team in 2004 and 2007.

The communicative disorders major was named to the NCHA All-Academic teams in 2007, 2006 and 2005. She was one of only three players named to the team for the third time in 2007. To be named to the team a player must have a cumulative 3.00 grade point average, have earned at least 50 semester or 75 quarter hours, and be recommended by her head coach.

Lindner is the fifth Falcon to earn All-American honors - defender Jenny Wallace (2005, 2006), defender Lindsy Carlson (2003, 2004), goalie Marlene Yaeger (2003) and forward Ali Slinden (2003) also earned the award.
