Leah Baron

Leah Baron returns for her senior and final season with the Falcons and plays the forward position. She will be looked upon to provide leadership throughout the 2005-06 campaign.
2004-05: Baron had a career best season with the Falcons. She finished with eight goals and 17 points. The 17 points is a career high. She scored four power-play goals and two game winners. She was named the team's Player of the Week on Feb. 7. Her game-winning goals came against Superior on Jan. 23 and Eau Claire on Feb. 4. She had two-point games in five contests. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2003-04: Baron had another solid season playing in every game. She finished with nine goals and 16 points. She scored one power-play goal and had two game winners. She scored game winners in a 4-0 win against St. Benedict on Nov. 14 and in a 5-1 win over St. Catherine on Nov. 12. Baron was named the team's Player of the Week on Jan. 19. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2002-03: Baron collected 15 points on five goals and 10 assists.
High School, Personal: She uses her superb skating skills to find open ice and pull away from opponents. In her senior year at Proctor-Hermantown High School, she finished with 44 points and was named to the All-Area team. She was named a Prep Newsmaker in the Duluth News-Tribune. She set a school record for assists and also played with the Minnesota Selects in 2001. She is the daughter of Mark and Laura and has one brother and three sisters. Baron is majoring in health & human performance.

Lindsay O'Keefe has played a bigger role in each of her previous seasons and has the skills and talents to make her senior season her best. She will be a key member of the team at the forward position.
2004-05: O'Keefe played a key role for the Falcons during the entire season. She was named to the All-NCHA second team. She finished with a career high 12 assists and 22 total points. She had four power-play goals and one game winner. The game winner came in the team's opener against St. Catherine on Nov. 5. She was named to the NCHA All-Academic team for the second straight year. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She is fourth in career scoring at UWRF.
2003-04: O'Keefe had another excellent season for the Falcons. She finished fourth in scoring with 14 goals and 24 points. She finished fifth with six power-play goals, fourth with two short-handed goals and 13th with four game-winning goals in the NCAA Div. III. She had game-winnings goals in an 8-1 win over Eau Claire in the NCHA Tournament on Feb. 29, in a 5-2 win over UWEC on Jan. 31, in a 3-0 win over St. Thomas on Jan. 13 and in a 3-1 win over Superior on Dec. 12. She earned NCHA honorable mention honors. She was named the team's Player of the Week on Feb. 9. She was named to both the NCHA All-Academic team and to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2002-03: In her rookie season she was the team's third-leading scorer. She scored 11 goals and had 21 points. She finished with two power-play goals. O'Keefe was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
High School, Personal: She scored 16 goals and 17 assists her senior year and was captain at Roseville High School. She helped the 1999 team to the Minnesota State Championship scoring a goal in the title game. O'Keefe played in the Maroon & Gold series and with the Minnesota Selects. She was named to the all-conference team and won the Sportsmanship Award. She is the daughter of Tim and Linda and has one brother, who also attends UW-RF. O'Keefe is majoring in biology (pre-physical therapy).

Lou Paulson provides the Falcons with spark and skill. She has been recognized as one of the top collegiate forwards in the game. She is a team leader both on and off the ice.
2004-05: Paulson proved to be one of the top collegiate players in the game and was named to the first All-NCHA team. She led the Falcons with 13 goals and had 19 points. She had one power-play goal, two short-handed goals and one game winner. She finished eighth in the NCAA Div. III in short-handed goals. She scored a power-play goal at Superior on Nov. 16. She had short-handed goals at Augsburg on Nov. 23 and against St. Mary's on Jan. 30. She scored her game winner against Finlandia on Nov. 20. She was named the team's Player of the Week on Nov. 22. Paulson is third in career scoring and needs two points to move into second place and 14 points to move into first.
2003-04: She was the team's captain and finished third on the team in scoring with 14 goals and 30 points. She scored three power-play goals and three game-winners. Her game-winners came in a 3-1 win against St. Olaf on Feb. 18, a 1-0 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 15 and a 9-0 win over Lake Forest on Nov. 22. She was named to the All-NCHA first team and was named the team's Player of the Week three times - on Feb. 2, Jan. 26 and Dec. 8. Paulson was named the NCHA Player of the Week on Feb. 2 and Dec. 8.
2002-03: Paulson was second on the team in points, first in assists and third in goals (10-14-24). She was named the Falcon Player of the Week on Jan. 21 after recording a natural hat trick in the first period of a 4-2 win over St. Thomas.
High School, Personal: She played at Proctor-Hermantown High School. She finished with 24 goals and 46 points in 2002. She also competed with the Minnesota Selects. She was named to the All-Area team and holds school records for season and career points. She is the daughter of Bob and Laurie and has one brother and one sister. Paulson is majoring in business.

Molly Buehner returns for her third year with the Falcons and will play a forward position in 2005-06.
2004-05: Buehner scored her first collegiate goal in an 8-1 win over St. Mary's on Jan. 30. She had a goal and an assist in the team's overtime win over Superior in the NCHA tournament. She earned a spot on the NCHA All-Academic team. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2003-04: Buehner played in every game for the Falcons at forward. She is an outstanding student and was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
High School, Personal: In 2003 she played with the Waterloo High School boys team. She also played in the Chicago Showcase. She is the daughter of Jim and Catherine and has one brother and one sister. Buehner is majoring in accounting.

Kelly Hurley returns for her third year with the Falcons and plays forward.
2004-05: Injuries kept Hurley out of several games, but she still finished the year strong with nine goals and 14 points. She scored one power-play goal and had a team-high five game-winning goals. Hurley finished eighth in game winnings goals in the NCAA Div. III. She was named to the NCHA All-Academic team and to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll for the second straight season.
2003-04: She played in every game in 2004 and had a strong first year with 10 goals and 19 points. She scored four power-play goals and two game winners. Her game winners came in a 3-1 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 14 and a 5-1 win over Superior on Feb. 6. She showed that her outstanding offensive skills throughout the season. Hurley was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
High School, Personal: In 2003 she served as captain for the Lakeville High School team. She was named the team's best offensive player and made the all-conference team three times. Hurley also named All-State honorable mention her junior year and earned All-State Academic honors her senior year. The highlight of her high school career was scoring an overtime game winner in the sectional finals her junior year. She is the daughter of Ken and Tracie and has one brother and one sister. Hurley is majoring in biomedical science.

Amber Lindner returns for her third year with the Falcons and has the most collegiate playing experience of any goaltender on the Falcon roster.
2004-05: Amber Linder had another solid season for the Falcons. She played in 10 games and had one shutout vs. Superior (Jan. 23). She had a 2.08 goals against average and a .911 saves percentage. Linder finished 13 th in goalie wining percentage (.667) and 15 th in goals against average in the NCAA Div. III. She was named the NCHA Player of the Week on Jan. 24. She was named to the NCHA All-Academic team and to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
2003-04: In her first year with the Falcons she played in 11 games and finished with a 9-1 record with a 1.26 goals against average and a .939 saves percentage. She was fourth in winning percentage, sixth in goals against average and seventh in saves percentage in the NCAA final statistics. She had two shutouts - a 4-0 win over St. Benedict on Nov. 14 and a 3-0 win over St. Thomas on Jan. 13. She was named an All-NCHA goalie. Linder was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
High School, Personal: At Moorhead High School, she earned All-State honorable mention honors in 2001. Linder participated in Minnesota Selects for three years. She was her school's Most Valuable Player in 2000. She is the daughter of Jim and Becky and has four brothers and two sisters. Lindner is majoring in communicative disorders.

Jenny Wallace is back for her third collegiate hockey season with the Falcons. She is one of the top defensemen in the women's game and gives the Falcons experience on the blue line.
2004-05: Wallace had a break through year in her second season and was named to the CCM American Hockey Coaches Association West All-America team. She scored seven goals and a team leading 13 assists. She also led the team with six power-play goals and had one game winner. She finished eighth in the NCAA Div. III in power play goals. She adds great stick handling and ice vision to the Falcon blue line unit. Wallace was named to the first All-NCHA team and was the league's Player of the Week on Nov. 8.
2003-04: She was a regular in the Falcon lineup in 2004 playing in 26 games. She had one goal and one assist for two points. She scored her goal in an 8-1 win over Eau Claire in the NCHA Tournament.
High School, Personal: She played high school hockey at Buffalo and made the all-conference team for three years. Wallace also played for the Minnesota Selects for seven years, yet she says the highlight of her career is winning the conference championship three consecutive years. She is the daughter of Richard and Nancy and has one brother and one sister. Wallace is majoring in business administration.

Ashley Anderson is in her first year with the Falcons after transferring from Concordia-Moorhead. At C-M last year she was second in scoring with five goals and 11 points. She scored two power-play goals and two game-winners. At South High School she was the team's captain and was named to the All-State team. She earned all-conference honors three times. She was also a captain, All-State and an all-conference soccer player. Anderson was a Miss Hockey candidate and competed in the Chicago Showcase Tournament. Anderson was a member of the school's Student Council. She was named the MIAC Player of the Week on Nov. 29. She lists her biggest high school hockey thrill as winning the State Championship. She is the daughter of Nikki and Jon and has two brothers. Anderson is majoring in criminal justice.

Kacie Anderson returns to the Falcon blue line in 2005-06. She is in her second year with the Falcon program.
2004-05: Anderson played in 24 games in her first year with the Falcons and finished with three assists. She picked up her first collegiate point in an 8-1 win over Bethel on Nov. 12. She had assists against St. Mary's on Jan. 30 and against Lake Forest on Feb. 19.
High School, Personal: During her senior year at Shattuck-St.Mary's Prep School, she had eight points with one goal and seven assists. She helped her team win the State AAA Tournament to advance to Nationals. She is the daughter of Dane and Donna and has one brother and one sister. Anderson is majoring in business.

2004-05: Bergh stepped into the Falcon lineup and played in all 25 games. She finished with three goals and four points. She scored her first collegiate goal in her first college game against St. Catherine on Nov. 5. She also scored an important goal in the team's 5-4 overtime win over Superior in the NCHA playoffs.
High School, Personal: She played at Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep School and helped the team to the National Tournament in 2003 and 2004. She is the daughter of Randy and Carol and has three sisters. Bergh is majoring in biology.

She scored the game-winning goal in a 6-2 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 19. She had two two-point games - she had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Finlandia on Nov. 20 and against Lake Forest on Feb. 19. She scored a goal in her first collegiate game in a 6-2 win over St. Catherine on Nov. 5.
High School, Personal: At Moorhead High School she earned the Hardest Worker award all four years of her high school career. She was named to the all-conference team twice. During her senior year she had 16 points with eight goals and eight assists. She participated in the Junior Fest and the Senior Classic. She is the daughter of Mike and Deb and she has one brother and one sister. Bruggeman is undecided on a major field of study.

Kelly Jensen proved to be one of the team's top first year players and will play an important role with the 2005-06 Falcons as a forward.
2004-05: Kelly Jensen was the leading scorer among first-year players. She had six goals and 14 points. She scored one power-play goal and one game-winner. She had four two-point games. She scored two goals in the team's 7-0 win over St. Benedict - that was also the game in which she scored her first collegiate goal. She recorded two assists in an 8-1 win over St. Mary's on Jan. 30 and in a 6-2 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 19. She played in all 25 games. She was named the team's Player of the Week on Feb. 21.
High School, Personal: She attended Eden Prairie High School where she earned all-conference and the team Most Valuable Player award in 2004. During her senior year she had 41 points with 18 goals and 23 assists. She was named the team's Most Improved in 2002 and 2003. She participated in the Junior Fest, the Senior Classic, and The Chicago Showcase tournaments. She is the daughter of Larry and Ann and she has three sisters. Jensen is majoring in elementary education.

She scored her first collegiate point in her first game - she got an assist in a 6-2 win over St. Catherine. High School, Personal: At Moorhead High School she was named to the all-conference team in 2003 and 2004 where she played forward. During her senior year she scored 11 goals and had 12 assists for 23 points. She participated in the Junior Fest and the Senior Classic. She is the daughter of Mark and Vicki and she has one brother. Mandi Mohwinkel returns for her second season with the Falcons and gives the Falcons solid depth at the goaltending position.
2004-05: Mohwinkel didn't see a lot of playing time but improved her skills during intense practice sessions. She played in one game and made eight saves in one period of hockey.
High School, Personal: During her senior year at White Bear Lake High School, Mohwinkel was named to the all-conference team. She was also named to the All-State academic team. She also helped her team to a second place finish in the 2002 Minnesota State Tournament. She is the daughter of Neal and Barb and has two brothers. Jenna Scanlon returns for her second season with the Falcons in 2005-06 and will help the Falcons with her play at forward.
2004-05: Scanlon had a good first year with the Falcons scoring two goals and six points. She scored one game-winning goal. She picked up her first collegiate point with an assist in a 8-1 win against Bethel on Nov. 12. She netted her first goal in 6-2 win over Lake Forest on Feb. 19. Her biggest goal was the overtime game-winner against Superior in the NCHA playoffs on Feb. 26.
High School, Personal: Scanlon played at Apple Valley High School where she was the team captain her senior year. In 2003 she scored 39 points with 21 goals and 18 assists. She helped take her team to a third place finish in the Minnesota State Tournament. She was named to the All-State and all-conference teams. She was also named her team's Most Valuable Player. Scanlon also played in the Chicago Showcase, was a part of the Minnesota Selects, played in the Junior Fest and the Senior Classic. She is the daughter of Charlie and Barb and she has three brothers. Brother Andy is a goalie for the UWRF men's hockey team. Scanlon is undecided on a major field of study.

Kelli Dahle is in her first year with the Falcons in 2005-06. She's a talented defenseman who will help the Falcons with her steady play on the blue line. At Bemidji High School she earned all-conference honors in 2005. She competed in the Senior Classic. She scored eight goals and 13 points in 2005. An excellence all-around athlete, she helped BHS to the 2004 Minnesota State Championship. She was named to the All-State golf Top 10 team. Dahle was one of UWRF's top golfers this past fall. She was a member of the National Honor Society and earned three academic letters. She is the daughter of Susie and Randy and has one brother and one sister. Dahle is majoring in physical therapy.

Jessie Dyslin is in her first year with the Falcons and will play defense. She helped South St. Paul High School win the Minnesota State Championship in 2005. She scored six goals and finished with 34 points from her blue line position. She was named to the All-State team in 2005. Dyslin earned honorable mention to the all-conference team in 2005 and was named to the first team in 2004. She competed in both the Junior and Senior Fest Tournaments and the Chicago Showcase Tournament. She earned all-conference honorable mention honors in soccer. She was a member of the Gold Honor Roll. She lists her biggest high school hockey thrill as winning the State Championship. She is the daughter of Mary Ann and Donnie and has one brother and one sister. Dyslin is majoring in animal science.

Kim Grafstrom is in her first year with the Falcons and will play the goaltending position. She had an outstanding career at Roseau High School where she was named her team's Most Valuable Player in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Last year she finished with a 1.87 goals against average and a .920 saves percentage. She earned honorable mention to the all-conference team in 2004 and 2005. She competed with the Minnesota Selects in 2002 and in the Senior Fest in 2005. An excellent all-around athlete, she earned the school's Ram Award in both softball and tennis in 2005. Grafstrom was a member of the A Honor Roll. Her biggest high school hockey thrill was beating Holy Angels, the team that went on to win the Minnesota State Championship. She is the daughter of Kari and Brian and has three brothers. Grafstrom is undecided on a major field of study.

Sara Halseth joins the Falcons for her first collegiate season in 2005-06. She will play forward. At Moorhead High School she was named to the all-conference team for four straight years. Halseth was the team's Most Valuable Player twice. She competed in the Junior and Senior Fest Tournaments. She scored 24 goals and had 41 points in 2005. She lists her biggest high school hockey thrill as beating Bemidji in four overtimes in the section finals. She is the daughter of Lisa and Scott and has one brother and one sister. Amy Hasbargen is in her first year with the Falcons. She has the skills to play both forward and defense. At Lake of the Woods High School she was the team's Most Valuable Player in 2005 when she scored 11 goals and finished with 39 points. She was named to the all-conference team and competed in the Senior Classic and Chicago Showcase Tournaments. She also won the team's Most Dedicated, Hustle and Sparkplug awards. Hasbargen was named to the 2005 All-State team. She was captain of the hockey team for five seasons, the swimming team for two years and the softball team for one season. She was a member of the National Honor Society and an All-State Senior Class representative. She also earned the Triple A award, was named to the academic All-State team and earned a Gold Star. She is the daughter of Carrie and Keith and has two brothers. Hasbargen is majoring in sociology.

Katie Kantrud is in her first season with the Falcons and will play the goaltending position. At Fergus Falls High School she was named to the all-conference team in 2005 and earned honorable mention in 2004. She was the team's Most Valuable Player when she was in eighth grade. In 2005 she was named the team's Best Defensive Player. She was the team's captain in 2004 and 2005. Kantrud competed with the North team in the Minnesota All-Star game. She was a member of the A Honor Roll in 2003, 2004 and 2005. She was a member of the Falcon golf team during the fall 2005 season. She is the daughter of Becky and Dave and has one brother. Kantrud is majoring in health & human performance.

Leigh Landgraf joins the Falcons for her first collegiate season in 2005 and will play defense. She earned all-conference first team honors at Cottage Grove High School. She finished with six goals and 22 points in 2005. She also earned honorable mention to the team for five seasons. She was a team captain and competed in the Junior and Senior Fest and Chicago Showcase Tournaments.   Landgraf also earned all-conference honors in soccer. She lists her biggest high school hockey thrill as playing in the first game of her junior season when the stands were packed. She is the daughter of Shelley and Steve and has two brothers and one sister. Landgraf is majoring in pre-medicine.
