Four members of the Falcon women's hockey team have been named to the 2006 NCHA All-Academic team. Forwards Leah Baron (Sr., Hermantown, Minn.), Molly Buehner (Jr., Cedar Falls, Iowa) and Lindsay O'Keefe (Sr., Roseville, Minn.) and goalie Amber Lindner (Jr., Moorhead, Minn.) all earned the honor. O'Keefe has been named to the team for three straight seasons. This is the second time that Buehner and Lindner have been named to the team. Baron played in all 25 regular season games and scored eight goals and 14 points. She had three power-play goals and a game-winner. Baron was named the team's Player of the Week on Jan. 9. She earned honorable mention to the 2006 All-NCHA team. She is majoring in health & human performance. Buehner played in 23 regular season games and had one assist. She is majoring in accounting. O'Keefe played in all 25 regular season games and led the team with 19 points. She scored eight goals and had a team high 11 assists. She scored two power-play goals and had one game-winner. O'Keefe was named to the second All-NCHA team in 2006 and 2005 and earned honorable mention in 2004. She was named the team's Player of the Week on Feb. 6. She is majoring in biology (pre-physical therapy). Lindner played in 21 games in goal and had a 2.39 goals against average and a .915 saves percentage. She had a 12-8-1 record and one shutout. Linder was named the team's Player of the Week on Nov. 7. She is majoring in communicative disorders. |
