Guard Melanie Preiner (Jr., Stillwater Minn.) had a solid all-around game for the Falcons in a 56-49 loss at UW-La Crosse. She scored a team-high 16 points shooting 6-10 (.600) from the field, including 2-6 (.333) from behind the arc. She was 2-4 (.500) from the line. She had three rebounds, one assist, one block and steal steals in 38 minutes. She averages 11.9 points and 4.7 rebounds a game. She leads the Falcons with 82 assists and 71 steals.

Guard Miranda Biteler ( Sr., Chanhassen, Minn. Chaska HS) led the Falcons with 20 points Saturday night in a much need ed 65-52 win at UW- Whitewater. Against UW-Eau Claire she scored seven points in a 56-32 loss . For the week she was 8-15 (.533) from the field, including 4-7 (.571) from three-point range. She was 7-10 (.700) from the line and scored 27 points. She grabbed seven rebounds, dished out three assists, and stole three passes in 53 minutes of playing time. For the season she is averaging 10.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. She is also second on the team in assists with 72.

Guard Miranda Biteler (Sr., Chanhassen, Minn. Chaska HS) led the Falcons to a 50-47 win over UW-Platteville on Saturday at the Karges Center. She scored 15 points to lead the Falcons. She also had five rebounds, one assist and two blocks. Against Stout she scored 15 points in a 64-56 loss. For the week Biteler shot 9-16 (.562) from the field, including 6-9 (.667) from three-point range. She was a perfect 6-6 at the line. She compiled 30 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 60 minutes of playing time.

Post Traci Reimann (Jr., North Branch, Minn.) played two very strong games last week recording 31 rebounds and scoring 27 points in the two WIAC victories over Superior and Oshkosh. Against Superior she piled up a team high 17 rebounds and 15 points. She also led the team with 14 rebounds and chipped in with 12 points in a victory over conference rival Oshkosh Saturday night. Oshkosh was in first place in the WIAC entering the game. In the two games she was 12-20 (.600) from the field and 3-9 (.333) from the line. She had one assist, one block and two steals in 67 minutes of action. She leads the Falcons in scoring averaging 14.3 points and in rebounding with a 10.4 average.

Guard Melanie Preiner (Jr., Stillwater Minn.) had two good games in helping the Falcons split two conference games last week. The Falcons defeated La Crosse, 74-52, but lost to Stevens Point, 55-46.  Against La Crosse, Preiner scored a team high 20 points to go along with three rebounds and seven assists. Against Stevens Point Preiner, 5-6, finished with 12 points, one assist, and seven rebounds.  In the two games she was 10-22 (.454) from the field, including 6-14 (.428) from beyond the arc. She was a perfect 6-6 from the line. She had 12 rebounds, eight assists and five steals in 70 minutes of action.

Post player Traci Reimann (Jr., North Branch, Minn.) played two solid games for the Falcons last week. The Falcons lost at home to Stout (71-59) and lost at Oshkosh (75-72). Reimann, 6-0, led the Falcons with 27 points and eight rebounds against Stout and she had 14 points and 16 rebounds at Oshkosh. In the two games she was 14-23 (.608) from the field and 13-18 (.722) from the line. She had 24 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 67 minutes of playing time.

Guard Krista Cordes (Jr., Farmington, Minn.) had a career high 24 points in a 69-59 win against UW-Whitewater on Saturday at the Karges Center.  Cordes' 24 points consisted of a 5-6 night from three-point range and 7-10 in overall field goals. She also put home five free throws in as many attempts. Cordes collected eight points and seven rebounds in the Falcons 69-56 loss to St. Scholastica on Monday. "Krista is a strong player and I'm happy to see her have a break out game for us," said Falcon Coach Cindy Hovet. In the two games she was 11-25 (.440) from the field, including 5-6 (.833) from three-point range. She was a perfect 5-5 from the line. She had 15 re bounds and 32 points. She also had two assists, one blocked shot and six steals in 69 minutes of playing time. She is third on the team in scoring averaging 9.4 points a game. She averages 4.4 rebounds per contest.

Guard Melanie Preiner (Jr., Stillwater Minn.) played well in two convincing wins last week. The Falcons beat Macalester, 65-29 and Northwestern, 62-32. Against Macalester she scored 10 points and had six assists and six steals in only 22 minutes of action. In the win over Northwestern, she had 14 points, a team high eight rebounds, and four assists. For the week she was 10-19 (.526) form the floor, including 4-11 (.363) from three-point range. She scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, handed out 10 assists, and stole seven passes.

Post Traci Reimann (Jr., North Branch, Minn.) played well in three games for the Falcons last week. She scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds in a loss to UW-Platteville. Against Winona she had 16 points and seven rebounds. In the team's only win of the week she scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds against Eau Claire. In the games she was 18-30 (.600) from the field, including 1-5 (.200) from behind the arc. Reimann, 6-0, was 10-16 (.625) from the line for 47 points. She had 28 rebounds and led the team in rebounding in each game. She also had five assists, one block and five steals in 93 minutes of playing time.

Guard Melanie Preiner (Jr., Stillwater Minn.) played very well this week in leading the team to a victory over Superior. In that game she scored a career-high 20 points, and led the Falcons with four steals in the 70-53 win. At Stevens Point in a 71-60 loss, she scored a team-high 15 points and led the team with five assists and three steals. She pulled down five rebounds. For the week she scored 35 points, had eight assists, eight rebounds, and seven steals in 69 minutes of action. She shot 12-21 (.561) from the floor, including 5-9 (.555) from three-point range. She was a perfect 6-6 from the line.

Post Traci Reimann (Jr., North Branch, Minn. North Branch HS) played three very strong games this week where she totaled 48 points and 32 rebounds. Her strongest game of the week came in the Falcons first home game of the year where she had 25 points and 13 rebounds in a 75-71 win over Viterbo. Against Hamline she had eight points and eight rebounds. In the overtime loss to St.Thomas she had 15 points and 11 rebounds. In the games she was 17-34 (.500) from the field, including 1-2 (.500) from three-point range. She was 13-24 (.541) from the line. She averaged 16 points and 10.6
rebounds a game. She had seven assists, one blocked shot and two steals in 100 minutes of playing time.

Post Traci Reimann (Jr., North Branch, Minn. North Branch HS) played two very strong games and was named to the Kalamazoo All-Tournament team. She had double doubles in both games. She scored 17 points and grabbed 16 rebound against Finlandia in a 95-61 win over Finlandia. In the championship game against Kalamazoo she had 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 63-54 loss. For the tournament she had 34 points and 28 rebounds to go along with seven assists and five steals. She was 14-30 from the field and 6-13 from the line in the two games.
