Center Ryan Zylstra (So., Annandale, Minn.) played a key role for the Falcons in the team's 80-75 two overtime loss to La Crosse on Wednesday at the Karges Center. The 6-10, 250 pounder led the Falcons in scoring with 26 points. He was 11-17 (.647) from the field and 4-7 (.571) from the line. He tied for the team lead in rebounds with nine. He also had two assists and two steals in 42 minutes of action. Zylstra averages 10.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Center Ryan Zylstra (So., Annandale, Minn.) played two solid games for the Falcons as the team finished with a split in two WIAC contests. The Falcons topped UW-Eau Claire, 59-57, on Wednesday at the Karges Center, but then lost an 81-56 decision at UW-Whitewater on Saturday. Zylstra, 6-10, 250 pounds, scored a career-high 27 points against Eau Claire. He also had nine rebounds and five blocked shots in the game. For the week he was 14-25 (.583) from the field and 12-17 (.705) from the line for 40 points. He had 13 rebounds. He is averaging 9.7 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.

Guard Hans Hoeg (Jr., Litchfield, Minn.) helped lead the Falcons to two WIAC wins last week, including a victory over first place UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. The Falcons won at Superior, 75-60, and took a 58-56 win over Oshkosh on Saturday at the Karges Center. He led the Falcons in scoring in both games with a career-high 31 points at Superior and he had 21 against Oshkosh. In the two games he was 17-30 (.566) from the field, including 9-13 (.692) from three-point range. The 6-3, 200 pounder finished 9-11 (.818) from the line. He had 12 rebounds, including a team high nine at Superior, two assists and two steals in 71 minutes of playing time.

Center Ryan Zylstra (So., Annandale, Minn.) played two solid games for the Falcons last week. The 6-10, 250 pounder was 15-28 (.535) from the field and 2-2 (1.000) from the line for 32 points. He led the team with 18 points against Stevens Point. He had two assists, two blocks and one steal in 62 minutes of playing time.

Guard Hans Hoeg (Jr., Litchfield, Minn.) played two more solid games for the Falcons as the team split in two road WIAC contests last week. The Falcons won at Stout, 66-57, but lost at Oshkosh, 55-49. At Stout he scored a season-high 26 points in helping lead the Falcons to the win. He also led the Falcons in scoring at Oshkosh with 15 points. In the two games he was 9-24 (.375) from the field, including 6-12 (.500) from three-point range. He was 17-20 (850) from the line. He scored 41 points and grabbed nine rebounds. The 6-3, 200 pounder had four assists and two steals and averaged 38 minutes of playing time a game.

Center Ryan Zylstra (So., Annandale, Minn.) had a career best game for the Falcons in the team's 76-65 loss to UW-Whitewater on Saturday at the Karges Center. He scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds. The 6-10, 250 pounder was 7-13 from the field and 8-10 from the line. He led the Falcons with nine rebounds and he had two blocks. He is averaging seven points and 3.1 rebounds a game.

Guard Hans Hoeg (Jr., Litchfield, Minn.) played well for the Falcons in two WIAC games last week. The 6-3, 200 pound guard averaged 13.5 points and three rebounds per game. On Dec. 7 Hoeg scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds in the Falcons 57-56 loss at Eau Claire. "He played about as well as he could have in the first 32 minutes," Falcon Coach Rick Bowen said. In the two games he was 10-17 (.588) from the field, including 4-9 (.444) from three-point range. He was 3-4 from the line. He had six rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 68 minutes of action. Hoeg leads the Falcons with 15.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on the season.

Guard Hans Hoeg (Jr., Litchfield, Minn.) had two strong games for the Falcons as the team opened its 2005-06 season last weekend. The 6-3, 200   pounder led the team in scoring and rebounding in both games. For the two games he was 13-32 from the field, including 2-11 from three-point range. He was 5-6 from the line for 33 points. He scored 16 against Con.-St. Paul and 17 at St. John's. He also had 13 rebounds, four assists and a steal in 76 minutes of action.
