Ryan Abbott 2004: Proved to be a valuable backup at offensive guard and started in team’s comeback win at UW-Platteville. Abbott saw playing time in seven of River Falls’ 10 games and can play center or guard. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. |

Andy Acosta 2004: Acosta returned to the Falcon football team after taking the 2003 season off. The sophomore played a huge role on special teams as a on-side kick specialist. He was successful on one on-side kick during the season vs. La Crosse. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

David Affeldt 2004: Affeldt saw action at quarterback, running back and wide receiver. The mulit-purpose effort earned him the team’s Co-Freshman Player of the Year award. He spent most of the season splitting time under center with sophomore Andy Kolstad. Affeldt started five games including three out of the last four. He completed 3-6 passes for 52 yards and one touchdown. The freshman’s first passing TD of the season came at UW-Platteville, a team that was undefeated at the time. Affeldt led all quarterbacks in rushing with 349 yards on 84 carries and four touchdowns. He also led RF in passing efficiency with a rating of 177.8. Affeldt excelled on the ground in back to back weeks against Stout and Oshkosh when he ran for a combined 197 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries. During those two games he had his longest runs of the season, 28 and 52 yards. For the year Affledt averaged 4.2 yards per carry. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Ryan Agrimson 2004: Agrimson played in nine games and started one. He led all freshmen in tackles with 31, 22 were solo. The Peterson native registered one tackle for a loss, recovered one fumble against Whitewater and blocked a kick against Bemidji. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Chris Anderson 2004: Anderson played in seven of 10 games and recorded one catch for 29 yards. He caught the pass in the game against La Crosse.

Nate Anderson 2004: Anderson was named the team’s Co-Freshman Offensive Player of the Year. He was second on the team in rushing and total offense. Anderson carried the ball 178 times for 876 yards and four touchdowns. The freshman went over 100 yards rushing in five of the last seven games including carrying the ball 29 times for a career high 185 yards and one touchdown at La Crosse. Anderson wasn’t just a big bruising fullback - he had at least one run over 20 yards in four games and had a run of 14 yards or more in nine of 10 games. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry and 97.3 yards per game. He was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Week for his game against Eau Claire.

Bruce Baillargeon 2004: Baillargeon played in all 10 games during his first season with the Falcons. The freshman was second amongst freshmen in tackles with 27 total, 11 were solo stops. He also was tied for second on the team with one interception – that came against Oshkosh. He was named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his game at Con.-St. Paul. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Steve Bernard 2004: Bernard earned his first letter with the Falcons playing defensive tackle. He has been moved to center on the offensive line for the 2005 season.

Spasimire Bodurski 2004: Bodurski earned the team’s Special Teams Player of the Year in his first season with the Falcons. He handled all kick off and place kicking duties. On the year he hit 6-10 field goals including a long of 41 yards against Oshkosh. Bodurski was 3-3 between 20-29 yards, 2-4 from 30-39 yards and 1-3 from 40-49 yards. Bodurski ran off a string of four straight makes during a six game stretch. He was good on 19-20 extra points. He finished second on the team in scoring with 37 points. He was twice named the team’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his games against Oshkosh and Whitewater. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Dan Buker 2004: Buker was a rock at the linebacker position, starting in all nine games. Buker set career highs in tackles (48), solo tackles (23) and assists (25). He was in the backfield often setting a career high with seven tackles for loss and one fumble recovered. Buker tied his career high in sacks with one while deflecting his first pass of his career. He was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Week twice for his games against Oshkosh and Bemidji. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Jeff Cassellius 2004: Cassellius didn’t start but played in all 10 games. The speedy defensive end set personal career highs with 26 tackles and 14 solo stops. Cassellius continued to disrupt the backfield with five tackles for loss and two pass deflections.

Nathan Cook 2004:: Cook was a steady performer on the Falcon offensive line. He started all nine games at right tackle. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. |
Dylan Dabrowski 2004:: Dabrowski played in all 10 games as a freshman and started the final game of the season. He totaled 10 tackles and five were solo stops. He recovered one fumble against Oshkosh and registering one sack vs. Stevens Point. He earned the team’s Freshman Defensive Player of the Year award.

Beau DeBruin 2004: DeBruin saw early playing time in his freshman season starting the second game of the year at Bemiji State. The Little Chute native played a total of five games before his season was cut short due to injury. He carried the ball out of the backfield and on special teams. DeBruin had 17 carries for 124 yards and one touchdown as a halfback. He scored on a 16-yard run against Con.-St. Paul. He returned four kicks for 20 yards with a long of 10. DeBruin’s long run of 57 yards (vs. Con.-St. Paul) was second longest of the season.

Tony Dorner 2004:: Dorner played in nine of the Falcons 10 games in his first season. He had nine tackles and five were solo. He forced one fumble against Whitewater.

O'Neal Hampton III 2004: Hampton started all of the Falcons 10 games at the buck safety position. He was River Falls’ third leading tackler with 55 total tackles, 30 solo and 25 assisted. All were career highs as well as two tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles. Hampton also tied a career high with one pass deflection. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Brett Hanson 2004: Hanson played in six games and had a total of five tackles, three solo and two assisted.

Shane Hanson 2004: Hanson started the final game of the season and played in nine total games as a freshman. The River Falls native was third on the team in pass breakups with three. He registered 17 total tackles and seven solo stops. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Tyler Hasse 2004: Hasse played in seven games as a freshman. He registered one tackle against Eau Claire.

Todd Hofdahl 2004: As a freshman Hofdahl played in three games and had one solo tackle vs. Whitewater.

Matt Jordan 2004: Jordan moved from strong safety to cornerback and started all 10 games. He was fifth on the team in tackles with 54. He had 32 solo stops and 20 assisted. All are career highs as well as his five tackles for loss, two interceptions and five pass deflections. He had interceptions against Eau Claire and Stout. He was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Week for his game against La Crosse and the team’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts against Bemidji.

David Kapping 2004: Kapping started four of the team’s first five games at guard and for the remainder of the year was a backup in the offensive line. He can play either center or guard. |
Pete Kolpack 2004: Kolpack played and started in one game on the offensive line in his first year with the Falcons. He earned his first letter. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. |
Andy Kolstad 2004: Kolstad split playing time under center. He played in six games before his season was ended by an injury for the second straight year. Before the injury Kolstad carried the ball for a career high 68 times for 114 yards. He also set career highs with a 46-yard pass and an 18-yard run. The sophomore completed 13-26 passes for 208 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, all team and career highs. Kolstad led all quarterbacks with 34.7 passing yards per game. Kolstad was named the team’s Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts at Pacific Lutheran. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Jovin Kroll 2004: Kroll took over all of the punting duties He punted 45 times for an average of 32.9 yards a punt, seventh in the WIAC. All punts covered a total of 1481 yards while eight landed inside the 20-yard line, both career highs. Kroll was named the team’s special team’s Player of the Week for his efforts at Pacific Lutheran averaging 34.6 yards on five punts. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Mike Larson 2004: Larson set career highs in games played with eight and total tackles with three. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. |
Nate Litscher 2004: Litscher earned his first letter with the Falcons. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

Andrew Marx 2004: Marx played in nine games and started eight during his freshman season. Although a tight end Marx was a valuable sixth lineman in the Falcons run oriented offense.

Josh Nelson 2004: Nelson saw action in the final five games of the season. He was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. |
Robby Nesvig 2004: During the off-season Nesvig was moved from strong safety to the buck position. He played in nine games and registered 14 total tackles including nine solo stops.

Gregg Neumann 2004: Neumann played in all 10 games as a freshman. He registered 15 tackles and seven were solo tackles. He had one tackle for loss against Whitewater and one pass break up against Stout.

Nathan Renk 2004: Renk played in six games and started his first ever contest as a Falcon at Bemiji State. He registered a total of three tackles and two were solo.

Aaron Retzlaff 2004: Retzlaff was the Falcons Defensive Player of the Year and a WIAC first team defensive selection He was the anchor of the Falcon new 3-3-5 defensive scheme. In his junior season Retzlaff registered a career high in tackles (36), solo tackles (28), and forced fumbles (1). The Shawano native also tied his career high in tackles for a loss (5) and sacks (1). He was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Week for his game at Pacific Lutheran. He was one of the team captains.

John Ward 2004: As a freshman Ward played in eight games. He carried the ball 49 times for 170 yards. He had a long run of 26 yards against Con.-St. Paul. He averaged 21.2 yards per game and 3.4 yards per carry.

Jeremy Wolff 2004: Wolff is a talented halfback and during his sophomore year he proved to be a multi purpose offensive weapon. The Janesville, Minn., native was one of only four Falcons to start every game. Wolff led the team in receiving yards with 140 on six catches. He carried the ball 34 times for 177 yards and served as one of the lead blockers for Offensive Player of the Year John Peterlik. Wolff caught a 21-yard touchdown pass at Bemdiji, and also completed a 35-yard touchdown pass in a victory over Stout. He might see action at quarterback in 2005.
