Tenut is One of Younger Players in Falcon Offensive Line
|
By Nathan Martinson In 2004, Tenut played in five games including the last three. He gained the coaches confidence throughout the season and saw more action as the season progressed. His teammates feel that he has brought toughness and youth to the team that cannot be matched. After a dominating performance against Pacific Lutheran, the Falcon offensive line was named the Offensive Line of the Week by d3football.com. He helped the team rush for 506 yards and 560 yards of total offense. "Football at UWRF has meant a lot to me. I've made a lot of life long friends and football has showed me how to be disciplined in life," Tenut said. One of Tenut's favorite moments of his football career happened this year. He felt that the Oshkosh game (Oct 1) was one of the best games he has ever played. It felt great for him because they won it in overtime. Tenut, 6-8 308 pounds, is one of the biggest players on the Falcons team. "The Platteville game (Oct 29) was a good win for our team. I hope and think that this will help us finish the year strong and we will have a winning record in the conference," Tenut said. Tenut grew up in Phillips Wis., and played football at Phillips high where he was named to the all-conference offensive and defensive teams as a lineman. "My senior season at Phillips was very memorable because our record of 6-3 was the best record that the school has had in the last nine years," Tenut said. Tenut was also a member of National Honor Society and his high school coach was Jeff Schillinger. In his spare time he likes to hang out with friends, go snowmobile, hunt, go fishing, play any sports, and work on cars. Tenut is majoring in health and human performance. He is also the current co-president of the HPER club. He is the son of Trudy and Alan. The Falcons have two remaining games this season against UW-La Crosse (Nov. 5) and at UW-Whitewater (Nov. 12) and Tenut feels that they have a very good chance to win them and finish with a winning record in the conference this season. "If we win these last two games and finish with a winning record in the conference it will dramatically help out for next year and give us even more confidence," Tenut said. |
