2004-2005 UW-River Falls Preview
The 2004 Falcons had yet another strong year that had the team advance to the NCHA playoffs and finished 17-9-1 overall.

But gone from 2004 are three of the team’s top five scorers - All-American defenseman Lindsy Carlson (11-2-5-36), All-NCHA forward Nicole Magnuson (16-17-33), adn All-NCHA defenseman Jodi Hensch (6-14-20).

The Falcons return the top goaltending tandem in the NCHA. Both Amber Lindner (9-1-0, 1.26 GAA, .939 SP) and Marlene Yaeger (8-8-1, 2.09 GAA, .928 SP) were named to the first All-NCHA team in 2004. They will be looked to anchor the team while some new players learn the collegiate game.

Returning to the blue line will be four players - Emily Nierenhausen (0-9-9), Jenny Wallace (1-1-2), Jenny Kern (0-0-0) and Kristen Hurley (0-4-4).

One of the most exciting forwards in the NCHA - Lou Paulson (14-16-30) - returns for her junior season. She is the top returning scorer for the Falcons. She was named to the first All-NCHA team in 2004. Lindsay O’Keefe (14-10-24) also returns after a great 2004 season when she earned honorable mention to the All-NCHA team. Leah Baron (9-17-16) will also be back up front and returns after scoring in double digits last season.
