Rochester, Minn.
John Marshall High School

Since joining the Falcons from Rochester, Minn., John Marshall High School, Effle has started every game that she’s played in. Erin has led the Falcons in scoring and been one of the top two rebounders each of the last three seasons. She burst onto the basketball scene at UWRF in 2001-02 and has been a dominating factor in all aspects of the game for the Falcons ever since. She was All-WIAC honorable mention both her sophomore and freshman seasons and has continued to work and improve every aspect of her game. Effle can post up and score inside with either strength or finesse, whichever is needed at the time. She can face the hoop and shoot the three or attack the basket off the dribble. Her defensive intensity is and recognition is exceptional. She’ll take away her opponent’s biggest strength and win the battle on the boards with very few exceptions. She is a tremendous athlete with exceptional skills, but what really sets Erin apart is her understanding of the game and her burning competitive desire. She refuses to get outworked, she doesn’t rest, and she’s willing to leave everything on the floor for her team. Effle is the Falcons team captain, along with fellow senior Darcy Olsen. Erin is the epitome of a team player and will be looked toward to lead the team once again. She is irreplaceable and will be a treat to watch her senior season. Guard 5-7 Freshman #30
Whitewater, Wis.
Whitewater High School

Shannon Zweifel will help the Falcons at the wing and point positions this season. After using 2003-04 as a red-shirt season, Zweifel will certainly use that year of development to her advantage. She is an exceptional athlete that can help the Falcons on both ends of the floor. Whether she contributes with defense and rebounding, scoring, passing, or simply running the show and taking care of the basketball, there is no question she’ll be expected to have an impact early in the season. Zweifel also competes for the UWRF Track team. As a first-year runner she set a school record and qualified for Nationals in the 400m Hurdles. At Whitewater, Wis., High School she was a three-year starter and was chosen as her team’s captain and Most Valuable Player twice. She earned her team’s Heart Award and led them in free throw shooting. Shannon is the daughter of Diane and Stan Zweifel. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Coaching.
