Janet Cobbs Mulholland

Janet Cobbs Mulholland plays a key role with the Falcon volleyball program as the team’s assistant coach. She was an assistant with the Falcons in the 1998 and 1999 seasons. In 2000 she was an assistant coach at the University of Minnesota. She returned to the Falcon bench in the 2001 season.

She gives the team some added bench coaching in several facets of the game.

She had highly successful collegiate, national and professional careers. She was a three-time All-American and was named the 1988 NCAA Div. II Player of the Year while playing at North Dakota State. She also won the 1988 Honda-Broderick Div. II Athlete of the Year award. She still holds nine NDSU records including most season kills (739) and most career kills (2,091). She was named the North Central Conference's Most Outstanding Player in 1988 and was named to the All-NCC team three times.

Cobbs Mulholland was a member of the U. S. national team from 1989-93. She was a member of the 1992 U.S. National team which won a bronze medal in Barcelona, Spain. She is the only Div. II product to play on the Olympic team.

Cara Rubis

Cara Rubis joins the staff after a few years off from coaching. She had an exceptional collegiate career at UWRF playing on a WIAC championship team in 1996. She earned UWRF’s first All-American honors. She holds records in the Falcons history books. She is first in games played and solo blocks in a season and second in blocks and third in hitting percentage in a career. The two-time All-American will add tremendous expertise to the coaching staff – she will be in charge of working with the middle hitters. Rubis earned her bachelor degree in physical education in December 1997 and masters degree in business management in May 2003 from UWRF. She is currently the associate director of the Hunt Arena and Knowles Recreation building.

Molly Schock

Molly Schock begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Falcons after completing a successful collegiate career in 2003.

She finished second in aces in 2003. She is fifth in career aces and eighth in career digs. Her duties will deal primarily with the junior varsity program, but she will give significant coaching to the setters and defensive specialist.

Schock graduated in May 2003 with a degree in health and human performance – K-12 teaching.
