Brittany Rathbun (Fr., Rochester, Minn. Mayo HS)
appeared in all eight games for the Falcons last week. She started two games and finished with a 3-1 record and one save. She now has four saves this year a single season Falcon record. He finished the week with a 4.20 ERA. In 25 innings pitched she allowed 30 hits. She walked only six and struck out 21. She picked up wins over Stevens Point, 6-2, Platteville (9-3) and Stout (9-4). She earned a save in a 2-0 win over Whitewater. In all games she has a 5-5 record with a 2.45 ERA in 80 innings pitched.

Outfielder Amanda Wojnowiak (Fr., Big Lake, Minn.) returned to the Falcon lineup and had an immediate impact for the team. She missed several games with an ankle injury. In the team's eight games last week she hit .500 going 15-30. She had six doubles. She scored five runs and had four RBIs. She handled six chances in the outfield

Reliever Brittany Rathbun (Fr., Rochester, Minn. Mayo HS)
had the hot hand for the Falcons on the mound for the Falcons last week. The right-hander finished 1-0 and had one save. She picked up the win in relief in a 5-4 10 inning win over Stevens Point, and she had the save in a 3-2 win over Platteville. For the week she pitched 15 innings and allowed only two runs, one was earned. She had a 0.47 ERA in five appearances. She allowed 10 hits and opponents hit .179 against her. She struck out 14 and walked only one. Overall she has a 2-4 record with three saves. The three saves is a school record for saves in a single season.

Outfielder Michelle Kelley (So., Rochester, Minn. Century HS) had an outstanding week for the Falcons as the team finished 3-3 in six WIAC games. She played in all six games and finished 4-10 at the plate for a .400 average. She scored two runs, had a double, a triple and one RBI. She walked four times and had a .571 on-base percentage.

Ashley Bertrand (Fr., St. Paul, Minn. Como Park HS)
had another solid week on the mound for the Falcons. She finished with a team best 1.42 ERA in four games. She pitched 24.2 innings and allowed 17 hits. She walked 10 and struck out 17. Opponents hit only .185 against her. She allowed Northland just one hit in a 3-0 Falcon win at the UW-Eau Claire Tournament. She finished the week with a 1-3 record and is now 4-6 overall.

Third baseman Emily Evans (Sr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) was the team's top hitter in eight games last week. She finished with a .308 average going 8-26. She had two doubles and two RBIs. She also played near perfectly in the field handling 29 of 30 chances. She had a .967 field percentage. The Falcons finished 2-6 in the eight games. She is hitting .315 in all games.

Ashley Bertrand (Fr., St. Paul, Minn. Como Park HS)
had her best outings of the season as the Falcons finished with a 2-2 record in games played in Michigan last weekend. The right hander picked up two wins without a loss and is now 3-3 in 2005. On Friday the right-hander picked up the win in the team's 3-1 victory over Case Western. She pitched eight innings and allowed just three hits, all singles, and one unearned run. She walked only one and struck out five. On Saturday she got a 6-3 win over Hope. In that game she worked five and one-third innings and allowed six hits and three earned runs. She walked one and struck out four. In the two games she finished with a 1.47 ERA and opponents hit just .184 against her.

Leah Vanderploeg (Sr., Cable, Wis. Drummond HS)
was the team's top hitter in UWRF's four games played in Michigan last weekend where the Falcons finished 2-2. She hit .583 in the four games. She was 7-12 with two doubles and a triple. She had a .917 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage. She scored two runs and led the team with four RBIs. She also walked once and had at least one hit in every game. In all games, Vanderploeg is hitting .350 with seven RBIs and seven runs scored.

Leah Vanderploeg (Sr., Cable, Wis. Drummond HS)
helped the Falcons to a 5-5 record at the Rebel Spring Games played in Kissimmee, Fla. She started six games and pitched 30.2 innings. She allowed 23 hits and eight runs – seven were earned. She finished the trip with a 3-1 record and a 1.60 ERA. The right hander struck out 27 and walked only 11. Her best game came in an 8-0 win over Alleghney when she allowed just one hit – a double with two outs in the sixth, and final, inning. In that game she struck out seven and walked none. She faced 20 batters, two over the minimum.

Right fielder Amanda Wojnowiak (Fr., Big Lake, Minn.) played an important role for the Falcons as the team finished with a 5-5 record at the Rebel Spring Games played in Kissimmee, Fla. She started every game and finished with a .471 batting average. She was 16-34 at the plate and led the Falcons with 10 runs scored. She had three doubles and a triple and led the Falcons with eight RBIs. She stole four bases and was not caught stealing. She was also perfect in the field making eight put outs without an error.
