Falcon hockey player Garrett Larson (Sr., Park River, N.D.) has
been named to the 2005 CCM American Hockey Coaches Association first West
All-American team. Larson, who earllier this year was named to the first All-NCHA and All-WIAC teams, led the Falcons in scoring with 20 goals and 42 points. He also led the team with eight power-play goals and and he scored two game-winners. He was named the team's Player of the Week three times during the season. He was named the NCHA's Player of the Week on Dec. 13. Larson was voted the team's Most Valuable Player in 2005 He is the 24th Falcon hockey player to be named an All-American. The Falcons finished the year with a 17-9-2 overall record. Six other players from the NCHA were named to the first and second All-American
teams. St. Norbert defenseman Ryan Tew and forward Jason Deitsch and UW-Superior
forward Mike Wiggins were all named to the first team. UW-Superior defenseman
Dale Lupul and forward Kyle Nosan and St. Norbert goalie Kyle Jones were
all named to the second team. |
