Broad area social studies.

Why did you choose to attend UWRF?
Because of its teacher education program and it was a school where I had an opportunity to continue playing football.

Why did you choose to play football at UWRF?
The coaches had great passion and enthusiasm. I also thought I could contribute at this level.

What is your most memorable high school football moment?
Getting to carry the ball once and because I was an offensive lineman it was pretty exciting. Also getting to play against Jimmy Leonard who is now one of the best players in college football.

What is your most memorable college football moment?
Beating Eau Claire in double overtime in 2001. Also the comeback we had against Platteville this year. That shows the great character of this team.

List your individual and team goals for the 2004 season.
I want to be a good leader, catch a pass (the first in my career) and for the team to win the conference title.

List your hobbies.
Hunting and fishing.

List your role models.
My Dad and other family members. And my offensive line coach from high school.

List your career goals.
I hope to become a high school social studies teacher and football coach.

Who have been your biggest football supporters?
My Dad and Mom, coaches and especially my teammates - our team is like one big family.

“Jake has been a pleasure to coach during his years here. He dealt with an injury last year, but has returned stronger and tougher for his senior year. He has also done well in the classroom."
