Peterlik Named to Second Football Gazette All-West Region

Falcon football player John Peterlik (Sr., Cadott, Wis.) has been named to the second Football Gazette All-West Region team. Earlier this year the talented halfback was named to the All-WIAC first team as an all-purpose back. Peterlik, 5-7, 195, played a key role for the Falcons in running, throwing, catching and returning the ball. He led the Falcons in rushing for the second time in the past three years. He finished with 1,143 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He averaged 6.3 yards per carry. He finished second in the WIAC in rushing and led the league in per carry average and rushing touchdowns. He completed 2-3 passes for 70 yards and one score. He led the Falcons in receptions with nine for 162 yards and he scored twice. He led the Falcons with seven punt returns and averaged 14.4 yards per return. He led the team in kick off returns, 18, and averaged 19.7 per return. He has rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2004 and 2002. He missed, by 16 yards, the 1,000-yard mark in 2003. In his career he has carried the ball 535 times for 3,454 yards. He averaged 6.4 per carry and scored 34 rushing touchdowns. His career rushing yards is second all-time and his 34 career rushing touchdowns is fourth all-time at UWRF. Peterlik has named been named to the first All-WIAC team in 2002 and 2003. He started and played in every Falcon game. |
