Falcons Compete in NCAA Midwest Regional Nov. 13, 2004 "Both teams had great races," Falcon Coach Don Glover said.
"For the men, going into the meet, the team was averaging 26:28,
but they ran an average of 26:11. For the women, every runner made our
Top 20 all-time list. It goes to show just how strong our region is."

UW-River Falls Hosts Cross Country WIAC Conference Meet Oct. 30, 2004 The Falcon cross country teams ran their conference meet at home Saturday. The women's team placed 8th out of 9th place with a total of 210 points. Leading the Falcons was Amanda Kozicky, who took 26 overall, with a time of 24:04.2. Following closely was Maria Michaud, who placed 39th with a time of 24:46.5. The men's team placed 7th out of 9th place with a total of 196 points. Zach Vircks lead the men with a time of 26:28.4, placing 19th. Coming in second for the Falcons was Jason Phillippi, who took 34th with a time of 27:21.2. Men's Team Results Women's Team Results

Cross Country Teams Win Winona Invitationals Oct. 18, 2004 The Falcon cross country teams both won Winona Invitational team titles on Saturday. The women finished with 35 points to beat three other teams while the men scored 21 points to beat three other squads. Amanda Kozicky won the women's 5,000-meter race in a time of 19:42. She finished 17 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Zach Vircks won the men's 8,000-meter race in 27:02. Falcon Ben Kirmse was a close second just one second behind Vircks. Falcon Cross Country at NCAA DIII Pre Nationals Oct. 1, 2004 The Falcon cross country teams ran at the Pre Nationals in Colfax, WI on Friday. The men placed 18th out of 23 teams with 465 points, and the women placed 16th overall out of 22 teams, with a score of 448. Leading the Falcon women was sophomore Amanda Kozicky, who took 45th overall with a time of 23:58.4. Freshmen Jason Phillippi led the men's team, placing 78th overall with a time of 27:32. Falcon Cross Country at Griak Invite Sept. 25, 2004 The Falcon cross country teams ran hard at the Griak Invitational on Saturday at the University of MN- Twin Cities. Leading the Falcon women was Amanda Kozicky, taking 63rd overall with a time of 25:16. Zack Vircks took the lead for the men, placing 33rd overall in 26:32. Falcon Cross Country Bulldozes Competition Sept. 18, 2004 The UW-River Falls cross country teams ran their second meet of the season Saturday at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minn. The men placed fifth overall out of eleven teams; the women placed tenth
overall out of 18 teams. Catch the Falcons next big meet, the Griak Invitational at UM-Twin Cities, Saturday at 10 a.m.

Falcons Open Season at UMD Invitational Sept. 11, 2004 The Falcon cross country teams opened their season at the UM-Duluth Invitational held Saturday in Duluth, Minn. The Falcon won placed fifth of nine teams and the men finished third
of seven squads. Leading the women over the 5,000-meter course was Amanda Kozicky who finished 23rd in 20:50.3. For the men, Zach Vircks placed fourth overall in 27:08.5 over the 8,000-meter course.
