Poulter Named to All-Great Lakes Region First Team

Falcon catcher Anna Poulter (Sr., Colfax, Iowa Colfax-Mingo HS) has been named to the 2004 AFCA All-Great Lakes Region first team. She is the first Falcon named to the first team. Poulter was named to the third team in 2003. Poulter was named to the first All-WIAC team in 2001, 2003 and 2004. She led the Falcons in hitting in 2004 with a .370 average. She set UWRF and WIAC records for most stolen bases in a single season (53) and she also holds the WIAC adn UWRF record for career stolen bases (121). She played in and started every game for the Falcons (42). She led the team in runs (42), hits (51), triples (2), slugging percentage (.428), one-base percentage (.416), stolen bases and attempts (53-57) and putouts (241). She finished with one double, one homer and five RBIs batting leadoff. She walked nine times and had seven sacrifices. She finished with a .983 fielding percentage. She finished with a .329 career batting average and played 151 career games with the Falcons. She scored 105 runs and had a 164 hits. She finished with eight doubles, five triples and two career homers. She had 34 RBIs. She had 38 walks and was caught stealing only 19 times in 140 career attempts. She had a .408 on-base percentage and a .969 fielding percentage. She played in the outfield in her first two years with the Falcons and was the team's catcher in 2003 and 2004. She is second all-time at UWRF in runs and hits. She is fifth in career batting average and putouts. Earlier this year Poulter was named the WIAC Scholar-Athlete. She has
been the team's captain in 2003 and 2004 and was named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete
in 2002 and 2003. She has been named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll
in 2001, 2002 and 2003. She was named the UWRF Health & Human Performance
Department Major of the Year in 2004. Poulter has been named to the UWRF
Dean's List four times and earned Junior Honors in 2003. In 2003 she was
named to the third All-Great Lakes Region team and finished third in stolen
bases (38) in the NCAA Div. III in 2003. She was third (as of April 25)
in stolen bases in 2004. In 2003 she was named the Falcon Offensive Player
of the Year.
