Falcon Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Nov. 17, 2003
Adam Puhl (Fr Cambridge, Minn. Cambridge-Isanti HS)
had a strong race at the NCAA Div. III Midwest Regionals held Saturday in Colfax. He finished the 8,000-meter race in 28:28 and placed 117th overall. "Adam had his highest finish for us all year at the Regional meet." Falcon Coach Don Glover said. "He had a great last race in his career. He is the team captain."

 

 

 

 



Nov. 3, 2003
Bobby Hanson (Fr Cambridge, Minn. Cambridge-Isanti HS)
had an outstanding race at the WIAC Meet held Saturday in Colfax. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 27:18 and placed second for the Falcons and 65th overall. "Bobby had a breakout day finishing second for the Falcons," said Falcon Coach Don Glover. "He improved his time by one minute and is now on the Falcons all-time top 20 list."













Oct. 20, 2003
Matt Olson (So., Webster, Wis.)
had another great race at the Winona Invitational on Saturday where the Falcons won the team title with 25 points. Olson was the third Falcon to cross the finish line and he placed fifth overall. He finished the 8,000-meter course in 28:07. "Matt's been one of our top five runners all season," Coach Don Glover said.













Oct. 6, 2003
Aaron Olson ( Jr., White Bear Lake, Minn. Concordia Acadamy HS)
had one of the team's best runs at the Midwest Long-Short Course Challenge on Friday. He finished the 5000-meter course in 16:46.7. He was the third Falcon to cross the finish line and he finished 30th overall. "Aaron has been one of our top three runners all year," Coach Don Glover said. "He was sick all week but came back and ran a great race."













Sept. 29, 2003
Kevin McDonough (So., Prescott, Wis.)
had one of his best races in his career at the Griak Invitational held Saturday. He finished the 8,000-meter course in 28:31 and placed 164th overall. He was the second Falcon to cross the finish line. "Kevin improved by one minute his time at the same race last year," Coach Don Glover said. "He improved by 27 seconds from last week's race. He's had some big improvements and I'm very proud of him."













Sept. 22, 2003
Scott Weispfenning (Fr., Hutchinson, Minn.)
had a strong race for the Falcons at the St. Olaf Invitational held Saturday in Northfield, Minn. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 28:42 and placed 51st overall and was the second Falcon across the finish line. "Scott finished just 30 seconds behind our No. 1 runner and that was 30 seconds faster than at last week's meet," Coach Don Glover said.















Sept. 15, 2003
Jason Quarford (Fr., Rosemount, Minn.)
had an outstanding run for his first collegiate meet at the UM-Duluth Invitational held Saturday. He was the team's top finisher in 28:38.8 over the 8,000-meter course. He placed 14th overall. He was the second highest finishing freshman at the meet," Coach Don Glover said. "His time was the second fastest ever run by a UW-RF runner at this meet."
